Did I miss something? Did Edwards drop out?
I had the TV on most of the afternoon while doing some chores in the basement. CNN was covering the candidates in NH - lots of "up close and personal." Charming 10-15 minutes of rudy schmoosing with a bunch of ken dolls in someone's living room, that sort of thing.

I realize they've been ignoring Richardson, Kucinich, & Gravel but after Edwards came in second in Iowa, and had a strong performance in the debate just last night right there in NH, I have to assume from the fact they NEVER ONCE MENTIONED HIS NAME in about three hours of bouncing back and forth between the bobbsey twins, that he must have like dropped off the planet right after the debate. Can someone fill me in? Was he maybe abducted by aliens?

3. Maybe the corporations don't love him. They own the media
They don't seem to be interested in real reporting so much as advocating for the recipients of the big corporate bucks. Sorta putting their mouth where their money is ;)

4. He is in the race through the convention
It is just the usual drivel from corporate anybody-but-Edwards media. And incredibly frustrating. They don't seem to mind how transparent they are about ignoring him. But at least he was on "This Week" this morning and "Countdown" on Friday. He is creeping into the mainstream, regardless what the corporate bosses prefer.

5. No, Edwards scares people comfortable with the status quo
shitless and that means the corporate media. That's why he's the invisible man instead of the guy who barely edged out a Clinton in Iowa.

Trust the silence to continue.

6. Why bother watching TV for political coverage?
Seriously, other than Olbermann and PBS, the rest is almost always boring and or ridiculous.

It's the same biased mainstream media talking heads. And if they're not biased, they have that forced, fake neutrality because they're terrified of being *called* biased (which generally means they lean conservative or focus on non-substantive fluff that won't get them in trouble) by the right wing.

I didn't watch a minute of TV for the Iowa Caucus coverage, and I'll be doing the same for New Hampshire:

7. No, but he is a distant third in all the relevant states right now.
I am not excusing MSM for focusing on the two frontrunners though.

13. Do you trust MSM to report the truth?
If the answer is NO, why would you trust the surveys they commission?

I saw the statement he is in for the long haul and am glad to hear it. As stated, i turned the TV on while doing something else, and was just marveling at the demonstration of what we have all been saying all along.

If you have not seen it, look at Gravel's fantastic video on the topic:
