7. And may the bacon-bits of the Lord sticketh in the throats of thine enemies...
...for they are smaller than the holy croutons, and could get lodged in thine trachea or larynx more easily. They are insidious little damn things, so sayeth the prophets, blessed are their names in God.

3. I don't think so
The denomination grew out of the Millerite movement in the United States during the middle part of the 19th century and was formally established in 1863. Among its founders was Ellen G. White, whose extensive writings are still held in high regard by the church today.

The Millerite tradition is a diverse family of denominations and Bible study movements that have arisen since the 1830s and 1840s, traceable to the Adventist movement sparked by the teachings of William Miller.

4. No
The Mormon (note the spelling) Church is popular but incorrect; the formal name of the organization is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mormons are members of is organization and refer to themselves as Latter Day Saints, or LDS. RLDS is a common but incorrect name for members of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, now known as the Community of Christ. The reorganized church split from the main group in a succession dispute after the murder of Joseph Smith: the "orthodox" group went west with Brigham Young while the "reorganized" group formed out of smaller communities which did not recognize Young and had stayed behind in the midwest.

Neither of these organizations has any connection at all with the Adventist movement.

8. And EXTREMELY nice people, too
I worked in an Adventist-operated hospital and nursing home for several years in a variety of positions. I have never met more sincere, concerned, and dedicated people. They are not arrogant and overbearing about their religious beliefs, and they practiced "nutrition for health" long before it became popular nationwide. Most of them, by the way, are not strict vegetarians. They will eat chicken and beef, but not pork or shellfish. If every Christian denomination were as generous and devoted to service as the Seventh-Day Adventists, the USA and the planet would be better for it. :hi:

10. My mother was in a hospital in Missouri the Church bought
She had a broken hip. The transfer took place on Saturday. She already had her menu made out for Sunday for her favorite food. Country ham. That morning, her nurse came around with a new menu. She called the ambulance company and had herself transferred to another hospital 30 miles away. Except she didn't bother to tell anyone, so when my dad went to visit her that afternoon she wasn't there. A very nice Nursing Director who came with the new management tracked her down for him. They were both 80 years old.
