So Obama can cast himself as the new JFK, and speak of MLK, but when Hillary speaks of her record...
she's living in the past?

The hypocrisy is suffocating.

10. You mean the Pro-Hillary press ??
The ones that were "cramming HRC down our throats" all summer?

What a load of crap. The press is foaming at the mouth over this.

But now the press is crowning Obama. I guess they've been captivated by his holy glowing light!

16. He oftentimes invokes Dr. King. And reference to JFK pop up ...
like the interview where he's talking about false hope and how JFK wouldn't question a space mission, etc. That's drawing a comparison to JFK.

21. He didn't despite the rumor that someone tried to start yesterday
in reference to his GMA appearance today. That said, I've heard many writers and pundits making comparisons, and that's his fault, too. :eyes:

24. I voted for the first time when Kennedy ran in 1960, I stood in
line with the measles to vote. I was so excited, this man stood for everything that I was looking for. Civil rights, minimum wage, jobs, etc. At that time Blacks had to sit in the back of the bus, in the south they couldn't use the same outhouse as the whites. They had to sit in the balcony at movies. Some in our midwest state wouldn't even let them in. In some restaurants they couldn't sit and eat. They had to go to the back door, wait, and take their food home. There were schools specifically for blacks. I even had a grade school teacher that bragged that if it wasn't for her father we would be going to school with them. Even in 3rd grade I was stunned that she would say that.
I was working at a Woolworth store when he got the minimum wage passed. Thank God. Pretty soon jobs started opening up and country got back on their feet after the sorry do nothing Ike years. It was a battle but eventually the blacks were able to have the same freedoms as others. Much was left to do when he was killed but Bobby, Johnson, continued the work.

How dare you say Obama is better. He will never be able to fill JFK's shoes.

17. You and me both
I'm for Edwards until the end of the line. And I think he has legitimate reasons to criticize her. But the way she's been chewed up and spit out, vilified and demonized by so-called Democrats turns my stomach.

Anyone but Clinton has been a theme on this board for some time. It's helped me to move into the ABO and ABE column. I'll write in my choice for President.

13. It is ironic that Obama reminds some of an era which he took no part in,
While, Hillary reminds us of a time that must take into account the good with the bad, as it was the last Democratic Adminstration.....if we are to consider her experience at all.

It is a time to remember when we were distracted far too long due to a zipper problem that should have not been exposed. It may very well indirectly have led to Bush's installation into the White House......as Gore ran as a weakened VP when it didn't have to be that way.

Remember now?

19. Obama has a messianic complex that should scare each of us.
This morning telling some guy and crowd that election day the heavens will open and a light will shine down and tell you to vote for me (obama). We had enough of a president saying he was choosen by G-d and he heard the voice of G-d. We sure do not need another one that hears voices......

My only problem, well I have two problems with obama. First, he only has a one page resume and it is not all that inspiring, plus I want to know if he comdemns his mentor Jeremiah Wright he wrote about in his book for his (wright's) anti Jew and anti Israel rantings?

If I understand the christian bible I think it said something like, Many shall come in my name....and there shall arise false Messiahs and false prophets......this too applies more so to the righteous right wing of the republican party too.....

I have finally figured out who Obama and his "entourage" of children remind me of....Jesse "The Body" Ventura. What a disaster THAT turned out to be.
