I think many Dems have just been looking for a reason NOT to vote for Hillary
You can see it in the polls. I think many people never really believed that Obama had a chance vs. Hillary. But after his clear win in Iowa, we are starting to see a huge movement nationally, as well as in NH. The latest Gallup poll has the thing tied nationally. It just makes me think that now that Obama and to some extent Edwards have topped Clinton, people are forming behind them, because they may just have a chance and are just as electable as she claims she is.

Flame away my friends, Flame Away!

1. So you are claiming that most Dems are bandwagonners?
Or are they merely subject to crowd psychology or some other 'I'm for a winner BS'?

10. I think people were prepared to hold their nose to vote against the (r)
but now they are seeing that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train.

:hi:

2. And that...
Is the classic "bandwagon effect". Only instead of finding one "anti-Hillary", voters have found two. And apparently, like both of them. The striking thing is that, thusfar, it's not even to Obama's detriment in the polls--showing the strength of his popularity. And apparently, Edwards' popularity has risen nationally, as well. Primary voters may well have found their "change agents".

B-)

3. I think it's name recognition.
Sounds silly in a community like this where everybody's tuned in.

But I think that's why Clinton was up 30 points a couple of months ago and is now tanking. It's not that they hadn't heard the names Obama and Edwards before, it's just that they didn't really know them. Now that Clinton's got real opposition, people are finding her lacking.

4. This is the feeling I get when I talk to friends and co-workers here in the south, who

are just now beginning to pay attention. Most were very discouraged because they believed an HRC nom was inevitable. Face it, nothing else was covered for a year. Now that they've seen her as vulnerable.. and seen that their vote MIGHT count and they might be able to make a difference, they are lining up enthusiastically behind the other candidates. A good thing to see and an example of how dangerous the MSM is.

6. First, I think everyone is making a huge deal over Iowa.
Secondly, while many people like/admire/support HRC, she does inspire (irrational) hatred in some people. Many Democrats would support her if she got the nomination, but she is not their first choice.

Thirdly, She was anointed the front-runner by the media due to her fund raising prowess. Within 2-3 weeks, we'll know if she is truly a front runner.

7. I think more people respect Hillary than like her
It's not that I don't like Hillary, I do. I've met her twice and was a very nice person, in person.

8. Americans may finally be waking up
It seems like they don't want another Clinton. That is fine with me.

I wish Americans woke up even more and vote for DK, Biden or Dodd, who, imo, are all better equipped to be president than the top 3 we have now.

9. What did she have besides the Inevitability schtick?
I've been saying for months that her house of cards is overdue for a collapse. Mark Penn's been lying about the polls all December and he's finally been exposed.
