( the sexist dog assumed she was a man, harumph) He then told people to give her some water (which is exactly what 9-11 told me not to do a while back when I was with someone who fainted, so he was probably trying to murder her) He noticed that nobody had a bottle of water, so he reached under the podium and took out a nice new bottle and walked toward the end of the stage (too high and mighty to climb down eh?) He had to speak a few times on the mic to get the attention of some of the audience to take his bottle (they evidently were more interested in the fainted person, NO LOYALTY I TELLS YA) Then the woman was taken away, but she seemed ok.

he gave her Holy Obama water...really, he did.

A woman fainted, paramedics came to take her out on a stretcher, Obama gave her his bottle of water. :)

either don't have a Tee Vee (like me) or who may not be able to get to one right now (like many others).

It drives me crazy when people post things like this with no details. We are not psychic or mind readers.

Maybe some believe that he should have given her mouth to mouth instead of his water?

And yes Obama acted like one. Very few wouldn't in a spontaneous situation like that. Why do we presume that they are so different than most of us?

Perhaps George Bush reading "My Pet Goat" while the U.S. was undergoing a terrorist attack has jaded me but I don't think that politicians do a single thing that is spontaneous, I think that they are completely rehearsed.

I guess we just differ in our opinion on this.

he stopped speaking, remained calm, encouraged the people who were surrounding her to back away so she could get assistance. He called for water. Someone handed him water. He handed the water to the medics who were now tending her. He calmed everyone in the room. He stood there, quietly, with his arms folded, until the woman was safely taken out on a stretcher. She was taken to the hospital and is fine.

Nothing has been spun, nothing has been said in the media, but they have played the video several times. I'm assuming because it shows exactly the kind of composure a Presidential candidate should have. His actions were calm and appropriate and impressive.

Of course, if it had been Edwards, the incident would have been ignored or rumors here would have been started about it saying Edwards was an ambulance chaser or rude or a jackass. Carry on people.

She would have coldly, and in a shrill manner, manipulated everyone around her by crying and being too emotional and cackling hysterically.

they didn't spend much time talking about what Obama had to say...y'know, something that might affect all of us, but they made sure we knew all about the person's fainting. :eyes:
