Some DU Primary "Fun Facts" For Those Whose Heads Haven't Exploded (Yet)

Fun Fact: DU is NOT the rest of the country.

Fun Fact: Yes, most of us ARE on the fringe (whether or not you choose to believe it).

Fun Fact: Yes, the "fringe" IS vitally important to both parties but guess what? We are a few pegs down on their pandering list.

Fun Fact: BOTH sides, rightly or wrongly, bitch about the M$M (with good reason IMHO).

Fun Fact: The MAJORITY of the mud being slinged on ALL sides here (once again) is bullshit. Not all but I contest the MAJORITY. Everyone who is passionate on an anonymous forum is going to 'Swift Boat' every now and then. Learn to recognize it.

Fun Fact: I for one enjoy this time every 4 years here. I have enjoyed the ridiculousness perhaps more this year; the lack of understanding of the Primary Process by some, the radical efforts to 'sway' people to one side or the other by some and the disdain for the people who didn't pick "YOUR" favorite by others.

Fun Fact: If you post a thread that you are leaving due to the Primary 'climate' here on DU, you probably shouldn't get involved in ANY political-type business, hobby or certainly not anonymous website. It is cut-throat as you have witnessed and much like a WWE match where your brothers and sisters are more than willing to scratch and claw and lie and cheat and steal, NOT to actually get a convert to their side, but rather be heard for the sake of being so.

Fun Fact: If you have been on DU for a while and read and learned and used DU and its resources and members for information and knowledge, who exactly do you think you are "convincing"? We have all been right here with you. We have talked and learned and 'informed' ourselves on issues, candidates, etc... right along side you. You aren't in a Yahoo chat room titled: "Undecided voters who really aren't up on Politics but want to know who we should vote for!"
You are at DU. The most informed collection of Progressives anywhere on the web. Oh no, I'm not asking any of you to 'give it a rest' with the candidate smears and (sometimes) outright lies since I said upthread how much I am laughing and enjoying it this year. All I am saying is that if your blood pressure gets to the point here that your heart palpitates, it might be time to put down the Cheeto's and take a 10 minute breather.

That's it. No real purpose for this thread other than I felt I should post something 'non-snarky' in GDP for once in the last 3 weeks.
