On some levels, I'm glad Hillary won.

She has these likeability campaigns because of the perception she is not liked. She is probably not a very social person. Most of her social interaction seems a bit forced. Obviously she tries hard to be liked. It probably hurts her deeply that she wants to help people, or at least roll out her vision for helping people, and they don't find her likeable. She can't help that her voice sounds "shrill" to many. I (not so) secretly would like to get her drunk just to see what lies underneath the armor, just like her emotional display the other day.

I really did want Obama to win. Despite that, it made me smile to think she found a group that really liked her in New Hampshire. Even if she doesn't win the nomination, I hope she realizes that there are people out here who see how hard she tries (even though it doesn't come naturally like Edwards, Obama, or her husband). You could see it a bit when she cried the other day.

Congratulations

3. Nah I don't discount him.
But it's nice to see she didn't get steamrolled. I like my candidate, but not to the point where it causes Ms. Clinton pain. I didn't want to see her steamrolled into obscurity; I don't think she deserved that.

5. If Hillary can't take the "pain" of a campaign, she needs to bow out
She's whining and crying now just because she's in a dead heat with Obama? Wait till the Repuke slime machine gets started in the GE. If she ain't tough enough, she needs to get the hell out of the way and let someone with guts tough it out.

I don't say this because I dislike Hillary--I say it because it's true. We don't need another Mike Dukakis wimp in the GE to lose the WH to the Repukes again. :scared:

10. tough yes but empathy is what wins, you must show it and..
be capable of receiving it. it was Bills great strength and it is Johns as well,
"having a beer with me" is code word for showing the appropriate level of emotional engagement with people
to be my president
and Hillery just made a lot of people want to get wasted with her

not sappy but raw
real

don't worry though, i still think JRE the shit
he is my guy to the finish

and i think America will get on board soon

2. Oh, she's already got groups that really like her...
...the DLC ("let's not raise false hopes"), PNAC (never met a war against Muslims she didn't love) , and Big Medical (she's the biggest Democratic recipient of medical contributions, and had returned the favor handsomely with her new "No Insurance Company Left Behind" health-care plan)...

7. these feelings you are having are....
a huge part of how she won. she actually won it by being herself for the very first time in this election.
maybe ever, turns out she is not as bad a person
as i thought she was
or
she thought she was
she dropped the mask
not as strategy
but
just out of exhaustion

turns out the old broad ain't half bad....
(sexist i know but wtf do you want from a mere mortal?)

no one is more surprised by this feeling of empathy towards her than myself

except maybe Hillery

i suspect she always was afraid that we would hate the real her

i just hated her because
she acted like a robot and so i assumed that she was one

what happened was real
there are some things that just cant be faked

i remain a john Edwards man till the end though

personality is not enough i need policy

Sorry I don't trust the Clintons, they would step over their dead mothers to get to where they want to go. Some of their tacky outbursts have really turned me off to them.
