Democrats are in great shape because of last night
Here's why. If the nomination was all wrapped up last night, all the media focus would have shifted to the Republican side which will drag on in utter chaos for a long time to come. Now we will have the attention because, let's face it, our candidates are a lot more interesting than the Republicans. Keeping the race competitive will register more voters as Democrats in every state and boost the favorables of our candidates and greatly increase our chances of winning big in November.

It doesn't matter if it will be Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. This was a great result. Interest in the Democratic race will keep interest in the Republican race as subdued as their candidates are boring. I'm really optimistic now.

1. Ron Paul's 8 percent is big for dems
Ron Paul's 8 percent represents the anti-war vote amongst the Republicans. I think the fact that he is able to squeeze that much recognition out helps out all anti-war candidates. I really feel like those people who voted for him will come over to our side in the general.

2. I think they will vote third party or stay home.
Which is just as good.

6. I could see him getting 2-3% of the total vote out of their libertarian wing.

7. I am so optimistic for November
I had better get that in check or else be ready to be really disappointed. Just like when I thought the second Matrix movie was going to be awesome and it wound up sucking ass.

3. I happen to agree with you
And in the end, if it's a spotted owl on the Democratic ticket, it's getting my vote. :)

9. I agree. I want a fight all the way to the convention, and then I want
some brokering to occur because we need the Democratic Party to truly step up and REPRESENT a broader coalition and a larger number of issues.

10. I really hope that gun control is off the platform
I'm for gun control but it seems like every time someone tries to bring this up it winds up blowing up in our faces.
