Thanks for your hope, your passion and your wisdom.

And for making this an exciting campaign season.

All three of your voices will be missed!

1. Nice post, thanks. All of them added to the discourse, and are good representatives
to the breadth and depth of our party.

6. He's still in the race, as is Dennis.
This was for those that have left the campaign trail.

Great pic of John tho :)

5. Hear hear, pirhana!
I was pulling for Biden until he dropped out of the race.
Now I'm leaning towards Edwards, but will support the nominee regardless.

25. Thanks all!
:hi:

I've been lurking for quite a while and decided that it was time to finally come out of hiding. Too much is on the line in the upcoming election and I wanted to be able to share my thoughts/opinions with like-minded people.

9. Exceptional Democrats
K&R for these fine men.

They were the voice of experience, knowledge, sanity, and reason on the campaign trail.

I miss them immensely, especially Biden.

14. My fault, I didn't make that clear in my OP.
Actually, I started to put in Dennis and Gravel, and thought - NO - they are still in it.

26. Many of us feel the same way.
I'm really at a loss now. There's no one running who I think can do a good job as president, and I have serious doubts that Obama or Hillary can win. One could possibly win the general election, but both are weak candidates and stand a very good chance of losing, IMO. Good people? Yes. Good Senators? Yes. Talented? Yes. But weak candidates in a national election, and that's as obvious to me as the outcome of an invasion of Iraq.

When Bush first started talking about invading Iraq I thought, surely our people are smart enough not to let that happen. It was so obviously a major mistake, yet over 70% of the people supported it. And here we go again. You don't need experience, just chant "change" and have Oprah Winfrey at your side, or Bill Clinton. I'm completely at a loss.

I was fortunate enough to get away from it all last week, spending a week in Puerto Rico. Even though it's a US territory, it felt close enough like I was getting away from the United States, and it felt good. I will spend the next year giving some serious consideration to moving out of the US. It just feels like a darkness has descended upon us and my spirit is feeling it.
