I believe Al Gore will endorse Obama soon.
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 07:02 PM by calteacherguy
Just a hunch and I could be wrong, but here's why:

1) Obama has stated that a new energy policy would be his #1 priority (if he had to choose)

2) Obama has said he talks to Gore regularly

3) No way will Gore endorse Clinton

I could be wrong, because Gore might want to stay neutral, for reasons we all know. Still, I've got a hunch he will be endorsing Obama before all is said and done.

1. I've heard rumors for a while.
I think he's waiting for the right time.

5. Well, we've got Kerry and Pelosi-by-Proxy (Miller) today, so...
Yeah, a Gore endorsement wouldn't surprise me.

6. If he does it, I don't think it will be immediately forthcoming.
He could do it before Tsunami Tuesday, but I kinda doubt it. In any case, I do think that Obama will be getting a lot of helpful and good endorsements in the coming days.

:hi:

9. He won't.
Gore is going to stay above the party politics. It's more important to him to build world-wide support for his environmental cause. He knows he can muscle any of the Dems on behalf of the environmental cause, and it undermines that effort to back anyone before a nomination.

If he endorses Obama and Hilary wins, well he's gonna get a lot of shit heaped his way and wont have a friend in the WH.

14. I think so.
I think he'd do it long before the convention, he wouldn't endorse Clinton, and he may like Edwards but as it's becoming more of a two person race, he might hurry up and endorse Obama.
