My HillaryBillaryClintonBeefs

I am adding this paragraph just so you know...
First before I get started, I want to preempt this by saying that I do think HRC will make a great president. She has done some wonderful things for children, and if she has the conviction of her words, I think she will do wonderful things for health care. That being said...

You know, I only really have 3 problems with HRC... Really, Just 3.

1. The Iraq War Vote and the fact that she can't seem to utter those three words; I Was Wrong
If she could have admitted that, then I would be able to look past it. And that leads to my second beef.

2. Voting to send troops to war is NOT the same as voting to give them the money to continue their fight. No matter how you spin it, it's NOT the same thing. You can't promise change, and hold yourself up to be the change candidate when you are playing the same old political games.

3. Her campaign is a thief. Plain and simple. (Yes I know that isn't proper English) Her campaign has stolen slogans and platforms from both Obama and Edwards time and time again...

The "change" mantra was Obama's; Putting up young people on stage like Obama, the "Look under the hood and kick the tires" from Obama, but mostly, and this one really irks me, was "This is personal for me" she stole from John Edwards right before she had her emotional... whatever you call it. It wasn't a cry; I don't care what the pundits say. I don't know if it was planned, and quite honestly; I don't care.

All this being said, when it comes down to it; if Hilldog is our candidate, I will still support her, because lets face it; We don't need another Repugnican running the how.

Okay, that's it. You can persecute me now. But don't worry, I won't be going anywhere.

1. I like your post and have the same three problems with her.

And despite my realization that her campaign is probably full of dirty tricks, I still chose her when my guy, Joe Biden, dropped out. Mainly based on her extensive knowledge of all the issues and my admiration for her constantly tested strength and toughness. Out of our three great candidates, I concluded she would be the most capable one to save our country. But after giving everything much more thought and more scrutiny, I have decided on another candidate and will not change my mind again.

2. Think of it like this - Imitation is the greatest form of flattery!
If what she is doing and saying is not working for her then she'd be a fool to keep doing and saying the same thing. Sen. Clinton is no fool.

Our current pResident, on the other hand........

4. She Was Right, Obama Continously Funded The War, Edwards and Clinton Didn't. 3. Bunch of Baloney.
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 08:22 PM by fightindonkey
With the information presented to the Senate, she would have been crazy not to authorize. The senate authorized war with Afghanistan which was right. Get over it. Bush lied. She was not wrong. She acted appropriately with what was presented. It's not her fault that the documents were tainted.

Obama has continuously funded the war, all during his stale rhetoric.

7. So did she
She voted to fund the war all the way through the last couple of votes, so don't give me that.

That is STILL NOT the same as sending them over there in the first place.

And you know as well as everyone else here that if they defunded the war, it would still continue. Bush would just leave the troops over there and blame it on the dems.

6. Obama was the first politician to ever run on change or hope.
Come on... Obama and Edwards lifted half of their schtick from Bill Clinton, so she was thinking in those terms when they were mere striplings.
