Sure I support Obama, but that doesn't mean I think he's oh so perfect in every way. I think most people supporting any given candidate realize that candidate is imperfect.
I do worry about Obama's commitment to GBLT rights- and it's not just the McClurkin thing. I don't think his health care coverage plan is as good as Edwards or Clinton's. I think he needs to focus more on policy, and I worry about some of the foreign policy errors he's made.
But one thing I don't worry about is his being not enough of a fighter. I've said it before: He's a smart fighter. He's going to hold his cards close to the vest. People complain that his message of bipartisanship means he won't fight rethug ideas or rethugs tactics. Well, just because he's saying he'll work with them, doesn't mean he won't fight them where he can't/doesn't want to work with them: Case in point our current ghastly prezeldent. bushco ran as a uniter and broadcast his intention to bring bipartisanship to D.C. He's managed to get a lot of his agenda through. True, some of it was with bipartisanship like NCLB, but other stuff he fought tooth and nail for, like the Medicare drug benefit.
