ROVE, NEWT FOR HILLARY SO WE'LL NOMINATE OBAMA
Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 06:17 PM by swati
What NOBODY seems to be getting is the only reason Newt Gingrich and Karl Rove are sounding so supportive of Hillary...is so the Dems will think "Aha...they want to run againt Hillary and are afraid of Obama"....Then WE'LL promptly go nominate Obama...

WAKE UP and Remember we are talking about Karl Rove. He wouldn't be THIS obvious.

Last time around (2004), they had their shills in the Media do their bidding and prop up Kerry and Trash Dean....So ofcourse like the Totally Manipulated Voters that the Dems seem to be...We troted out their votes for Kerry.

This time, Rove's Media Shills spend years talking about how "Unelectable" Hillary is. . Now the Chris Matthews and other Right Wing Media Shills are praising Obama to High Heavens while Rove and Newt themselves come out and Ra! Ra! Ra! for Hillary....

End Result that Rove's shooting for ?????

That the Manipulated Dems will trot out their votes for Obama.

WAKE UP AND SMELL ROVE.....Nominate Hillary - the One the GOP are Really Scared to Run Against.

1. I think I agree with you. Sounds entirely plausible. I'm for Hillary anyway.
But still it gives one pause to think.

It's utterly foolish to base your vote on repuke opinions of the candidates. Majorly silly.

3. Ah...the old reverse reverse psychological trick.
swati steps out of the shadows to tell us to nominate Hillary because Rove and Newt's public support for her really means they privately fear her.

Got it.

14. What you're saying defies reality and ignores the truth...
Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 06:45 PM by TwoSparkles
Rove's WSJ article eviscerated Obama with points that were so incredibly damaging.

Rove's hit piece was racist and it preyed on the weaknesses that Rove perceived Obama
as having. He damaged Obama.

He was clearly leveraging Hillary.

I don't know how blind you can be regarding this situation. Hillary votes with the necons.
Rove is at the helm of the neocons. Hillary's vote on Kyl/Lieberman declared Iran, the
next country on the neocon hit list, a "terrorist organization". This is unprecedented
in American history. Never before have we declared a nation a terrorist organization.
This gives Bush leverage to widen his war.

Hillary could have ducked this vote. She could have refused to show up for this ridiculous
vote that allows George Bush to further market an Iran war to America, under the guise of
"keeping us safe". Bush actually had the audacity to suggest that this would "foster
diplomacy with Iran"; a point that Hillary is also using to substantiate this sham of a vote.

I don't know when it happened, but Hillary and Bill got folded into the fray. I guess they
figured the best way to the power elite was through the neocon gravy train.

She's remained all but silent on illegal wiretapping. Where is she on restoring Habeas? What
has she said about Bush and torture? Where has she been while our Constitution has been destroyed
and our rights to privacy trashed? When was the last time Hillary mentioned the word "Constitution"?

She may throw in a generalized, anti-Bush barb now and again, but nothing that ever incites change.
NOT ONCE did she use her power as a New York Senator (and that 35 years of experience) to speak out against Bush's
assault on our Constitution and his massive, unprecedented "Unitary Executive" power grabs.

Her silence speaks volumes.

I don't understand how the Hillary supporters can turn a blind eye to all of this.

cross-overs.

Now come on, you all!! not all of these cross-overs are people disappointed in their own candidates and looking for someone better! Cross-over supporters can be nice, but they are NOT necessarily benign!

is just stupid, for either party. What I'm alarmed about right now is how well McCain is doing so far. We would be at war FOREVER if it were up to him. Before he is a Republican, before he is a conservative, he is a MILITARIST.

32. It's a double-reverse.
They talk up Hillary. Do we really think they support Hillary? Of course not. So why would we run to Obama because of them talking up Hillary? Do we think the independents don't know who is Dem and who is Repub? They support Hillary so that we, in our cleverness, will say "They like Hillary, therefore we must support Obama - but, of course, they LIE about everything so what they are doing is really trying to poison Hillary because they are afraid of her - therefore, we must support Hillary."

Which is exactly what they want.

35. Fuck you people
I think I'm done my short stay on DU. You guys are some of the most ridiculous people I've ever encountered.

When the GOP was propping up Obama, it was because they wanted him to win because he'd be easier.

When the GOP was trashing Obama, it was because they wanted him to win because he'd be easier.

Everyone who criticizes is a racist or a sexist. Words are taken out of context. Positions, no matter how ridiculous, are argued for and defended.

Don't let republicans have a seat at the table. Don't let corporations have a seat at the table. Not like they're Americans or anything. Screw talk, more bombs! Talk doesn't work because talk and action are mutually exclusive!

Seriously. Think for yourselves. You guys are no better than a bunch of sheep and no better than the GOP in terms of your closed-mindedness.

Thanks for smacking some sense into me when I was thinking of becoming a registered Democrat rather than remaining independent.

Because republicans and corporations are two sides to the same stinking coin. They don't want their "seat at the table"-they want two-one as an American voter and one as a souless illegally confirmed entity with no skin in the game, deep pockets, and a pure profit motive. I for one am tired of them having all the priviledges and none of the responsibilities of citizens-corporations are proof that money talks-irresponsibly.Therefore fuck you also.
