David Brooks: 'The Bush White House likes Clinton, and would trust their legacy to her.'
I've http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4046026&mesg_id=4046026">already posted a thread on this already, but now I have found video of it. Here is the exact quote:

"Brooks: This week in the Wall Street Journal, Karl Rove had a piece mentioning Obama. Extremely negative. Because let's face it, the people in the Bush White House think Clinton is better qualified to be president.

Russert: Or would they prefer to run against her?

Brooks: I think it's genuine. They like Hillary Clinton. The people in the Bush White House think Hillary Clinton's serious on the war, she's serious on foreign policy, they would trust their legacy to Hillary Clinton more than to Obama and more, frankly, than to a lot of the Republican candidates."

2. Of course that's true, and I agree.
However, I think he's telling the truth there. After all, on the off chance that it backfires, at least they know Hillary is much closer to them on the issues than our other candidates. They know Hillary will continue taking us down the same path, protecting Bush's legacy and keeping us in Iraq. We saw her triangulating attempts to justify her war vote on Meet The Press this morning.

8. They know that Hillary will play ball with them
They also know that with Hillary in office, they will all get off scot-free for their myriad crimes. She reject prosecuting them in the name of "moving forward" and "bipartisanship". It means that she'll let them off the hook to come back and fuck us again in another 4 years.

7. I agree. Bullshit. They are giving the "Bush" stamp of approval to
Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 02:24 PM by applegrove
Hillary while nothing to McCain. Why? Cause they know any stamp is poison. They know Hillary has the support of disaffected Republicans, Regan Democrats and independants. This is a Karl Rove ploy.

It is so simple. Why are they not giving a stamp of approval to McCain? He's the one who likes the surge.

The Executive Branch "All in the Family."

Why not, the fix is in - so many ways. Bloomy (Blooberg) will run if HRC is anointed our democratic nominee in order to bleed votes away from the republican nominee.

FOLLOW. THE. BIG. MONEY. <--- You find the answer to what makes our power elite tick.
