Has McCain's fundraising picked up huge steam?
I have read a number of posts that work from the McCain is going to get the nomination perspective. Unless he has suddenly had a big infusion of money, which is possible, I don't see him lasting that long unless he starts sweeping primaries/caucuses and the money then follows. But he has to be able to wage a decent campaign based on some money to do that.

On the one hand, I get that compared to the rest of the field he suddenly looks less crazy, which makes him more of a threat, but I just don't see how he and his organization make it without hugeinfusions of cash. Did I miss something?

1. He is Republican with Momentum. He is even up In National
Polls. He won NH. He is favored in SC. We have to see what
happens in Michigan. He has the Mo for the time being.

Guess What Guilliani won straw poll in Ohio this weeK

3. Remember he spent a huge amount of time - on the ground in NH
he doesn't have the resources to blanket local media in the onslaught of the feb 5 primaries. And there isn't enough time to do the kind of face time that he did in NH. SO unless his Momentum is maintained through several more primaries - and there is a big dump of cash into his coifers because of it - I think that he ends up running out of steam.

2. The Republicans can come up with the cash if they want to. They seem to
have an endless supply.

My concern is that we are weakening our candidates with all the media focus on the campaign tactics that are coming to light.

4. I honestly don't think much of the public is paying attention to
the infighting in the way that we do here.

The gop does have fistfulls of cash -but they aren't coughing it up for McCain.
