I'm so proud that in the US, a black man and the wife of a former president can both run for office!

It's truly a great land where the grandson of a poor goatherd from Africa and the spouse of the former 2-term president of the United States can both run for office!

3. Well she boasted about how great it was, so I'm just agreeing.

2. You just let me know when the DAUGHTER of a goatherd can run.
I'll be right there with my vote.

But I do like the smugness of bragging about that goatherd. Like somehow you are ennobled by condescending to approve of him. It's like the wealthy Christians who brag that Jesus was a carpenter. It makes up for not associating with carpenters now.

5. actually that two term President
grew up raised poor, by a single mother. He was the poorest child among 20th century President's except Nixon.

8. He was only poor for 4 years, you know...
he was NOT 'raised poor', nor was he "raised by his single mother". From the White House Biography site:

"President Clinton was born William Jefferson Blythe III on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas, three months after his father died in a traffic accident. When he was four years old, his mother wed Roger Clinton, of Hot Springs, Arkansas. In high school, he took the family name."

He had a very middle class lifestyle, living with his mother and stepfather.

6. I am too, but I'm not willing to give the Repubs 4 more years in the WH
just to make a statement. The color of his skin isn't the least bit important to me. Winning the White House is, and Obama lacks the experience to successfully do that, which is why Americans won't elect him. Democrats just aren't politically savvy enough to nominate a winner. Too bad.

7. I agree. We've really come a long way.
And really, it's more than awesome, but the truth is neither of them will do the job that JOHN EDWARDS WILL!
