Clinton was awesome on MEET THE PRESS
If you saw it, and are honest to yourself, you'll see her in her element. She was poised, intelligent, and despite tough questions, answered them with equal poise.

She is a gifted politician and yes, she lacks the charisma of Obama or Edwards, but she DOES have familiarity with policy and experience that both of them lack. Her statements today were clear and well thought out, and expressed with the pithy clarity we need from a candidate. She is MADE for elections, and for better or worse, she speaks in sound bytes. She is a machine.

I am a Clinton supporter and I BELIEVE the tears were fake. I'm probably the only one, but I place value first on the ability to win elections and Clinton is surgical. Every word out of her mouth is optimized for success and I see her eviscerating any Republican.

Obama and Edwards give better stump speeches, but at a debate, she wrecks it.

6. She did very well
I too was impressed with her not letting Russert run her in the ground, which he devoted the whole hour trying to do. I notice he is not that hard on all the candidates.

13. She sure did and you are correct about Russert.
Why did he ask her about Marc Rich's pardon? I wonder if he ever asked GHW Bush about the Iran/Contra pardons.
Good to see Buckeyes here. We will be backing Hillary for sure.

10. I'm watching the rerun now. She is hitting it out of the park. Wow.
I was a little leery of backing her in the begining, but she's explained some thngs on MTP, and I really, really feel she would without a doubt make the best president of anyone running. By far.

16. I just dont see tears from her
Its so hard for me to picture Sen. Clinton losing control and regaining it so fast. I know that when I need to cry, my steel doesnt come back as readily as hers did.

Whether she cried or not was immaterial to me, but I suspect she knows just what needs to happen at all times, and this time is required emotion.

20. I did
But my point is it isnt a question of emotion. its a question of rationality, and in my mind rationality trumps emotion

23. By but being the cerebral strategist, you are offensive in bying the MSM spin
that
1. there were tears
2. they..."humanized her" (talk about flattery with contempt)
3. silly voters fell for the manipulation

Not the most cleverest way to push your candidate. How about be so rational as to acknowledge how others (millions of potential voters) really feel about this thing - and not insult them?
Why are the strategist types ALWAYS blind to reality? :argh:

21. As a follow up, you can read and/or refute zulchzulu's thread on Clinton/MTP

it should make for interesting reading, what your girlfriend has to say to what zulch has to say, yes?

That'll probably be later this evening. I've still got the Packer/Seahawks game to get through.

I will say this: After watching Hillary, my girlfriend -- who's never voted for a major party candidate -- says she will vote for Hill if she gets the nomination. :wow:

24. If this performance was a guide to Hillary.....

God help the GOP nominee, she'll rip him apart.

I'd give her the nomination on a plate after and i suspect a lot of people who people who saw probably went, Christ she can fight her corner. She'll get votes out of this, maybe she should go round all the RW talkshows and just beat the crap out of them.

27. I haven't seen it....
but I spoke to my Mom who did see it (and who will probably end up voting for Hillary although she's got nothing against Obama but doesn't like Edwards at all) this afternoon and, after reading some of the shit written about the interview here, I asked her what she thought of the interview. She said she thought Hillary did very well, that she answered all of Russert's questions and didn't let him push her around. I asked if she lost control because I'd been reading these things about her losing it and sounding defensive and desperate and such and she said that Hillary did raise her voice to stop Tim from cutting her off but she certainly didn't do anything that looked like she was losing it or desperate or any such thing....So, my Mom being fairly objective about these things, I'd have to say she must have done quite well, the naysayers notwithstanding. Good for her.
