This will be a continuing series of the MANY ways that the forces behind Hillaryworld have bestowed what is basically unprecedented negative Presidential politics. I hope the DU server doesn't crash.
Of course, everyone remembers how the Hillaryworld campaign sent out a press release about Obama's past and about him wanting to run for President. Not to be outdone by....um, anybody EVER (this includes such company as bottom-feeding scumsuckers like Karl Rove and Lee Atwater), the forces of Hillaryworld released these statements:
In third grade, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want To Be a President.' His third grade teacher: Fermina Katarina Sinaga "asked her class to write an essay titled 'My dream: What I want to be in the future.' Senator Obama wrote 'I want to be a President,' she said."
In kindergarten, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want to Become President.' "Iis Darmawan, 63, Senator Obama's kindergarten teacher, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. He wrote an essay titled, 'I Want To Become President,' the teacher said."
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=4470That's right. An "exceptionally tall and curly haired child" who writes a paper in kindergarten? In third grade, he dared to want to be....President? Knowing kids who are in kindergarten, it would turn out that young Barack would be a genius to write such a paper at that youthful time. And yes, the link still goes to the Hillaryworld web site.
Let's all remember what Hillary said at the Jefferson Jackson dinner:
You can always count on a Clinton telling you the truth.
:puke:
On edit:
Here was a sampling of some of the responses from the media regarding this pathetic tact:
New York Times: "There is little precedent here in a presidential race, and that uncertainty, among other factors, has her advisers concerned about the impact of negative television commercials if she runs them. (No decision has been made, but scripts and footage are ready.)" New York Times, 12/4/07
Des Moines Register: "In recent days, she's started attacking Obama with increasingly strong rhetoric."
Des Moines Register, 12/4/07
Newsweek blog:"Hillary's Idea of Fun": "Over the weekend, Hillary Clinton made what could be the biggest mistake of her campaign to date...Whether a slip of the tongue or a revealing glimpse at Hillary's true colors, expressing joy, rather than resignation, at dissing a fellow Dem gave Obama an priceless opportunity to reinforce the caricature of Clinton as a conniving, calculating pol."
Newsweek, 12/3/07
Chicago Tribune: "Hillary as Kindergarten Cop: The defining blunder of Campaign 2008, already?" "It's silly, it's desperate, it's easily parodied and it's even a bit chilling: It suggests that Clinton will stop at nothing -- not even the line of adolescence -- to try to destroy her political foes. She, or more likely some lower level campaign functionary, has blundered into illustrating one of the more unflattering caricatures of her, but in a way that invites not sober criticism but mockery."
Chicago Tribune, 12/4/07
