There is no doubt that the Clintons said some things that were offensive to Black Amricans, was it intended in that way. I doubt it. Was it aken that way. yes. Are both sides now trying to score points on it....you bet...does it lead us anywhere positive...no.

Yet having said that....the Clintons have seemingly rolled the dice.

It seems to me the hope of the Clinton camp is to isolate Obama's support. Get him to react so vociferously that he becomes the "black candidate". Thus making him un attractive to white voters. I hope to God his message and the meessage of his operatives remain positive.

The wedge strategy might well work to get to the nomination....but the arrogance in that strategy is that it assumes that Black voters would come back to the fold in November. Or that White Voters who support Obama do not see it dor waht it is.

Isupport Obama because he does not polarize the nation. That the Clintons would take this tact is more than just cut throat politics. It is a stone face attempt to play Willie Horton type politics and pit Deomcrats against democrats.

This continues and not only will they lose my respect...they will lose my vote.

4. Worst possible move.
If Dean steps in, that will appear like treating them like children who can't manage their campaigns -- raising the question if they are capable of running the country, or will need Howard Dean to step in between them and <insert foreign leader>.

6. Hillary and Bill Clinton will have to start talking down on the campaign trail apparently.
We've had almost 8 years of Bush and his dumbing down and now that Hillary and Bill are campaigning, some folks can't comprehend what is being said. I just listened to this woman on cspan that said she love and support the Clinton's but was so upset with what Bill Clinton called Barack Obama (she hinted that Clinton said Obama's campaign was fairy tailish.) The woman have been listening to the media's propaganda unfortunately. So sad.
