4. Listening to Randi right now
She's very level-headed -- says both sides need to calm down because no one benefits but the MSM and the GOP. And she's been advocating that the MSM needs to listen to John Edwards and not count him out.

6. Find me a link ANYWHERE where Obama said he agreed with Bush on the war
I looked at her site where she links Sirota, who snips the NYT article quote where Obama said:
"What would I have done? I don't know. What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made."

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9407E2DF153DF935A15754C0A9629C8B63&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=2

Oddly, Sirota, perhaps saving space for the web or maybe to perhaps be dishonest about what Obama said, left out the part that I highlighted in red.

Other than that, Rhodes keeps piping up the lie that Obama said that he agreed with Bush on the war.

WHERE AND WHEN?

Good luck finding the quote...since it doesn't exist.

I was on hold on Randi's show until she cut the line after being on hold for 45 fucking minutes.

I like Randi Rhodes, but I've noticed her recently slipping into a pattern of subtly praising Hillary while using every Hillary talking point she hears that bashes Obama.

Its only gotten worse after Hillary's "miracle" NH victory.

19. I find that she occasionally doesn't do her homework she wants her audience to do
I await for anyone to find the quote where Obama said he agreed with Bush on the Iraq war. Hell, I'll give the person $100 if they find the quote. Know why? It doesn't exist except in the minds of delusional Hillaryworlders.

26. Sorry, but the first 3 days that she was back
she couldn't say enough good things about Obama, how he is so inspiring and such. She did defend Clinton, but in all those hours maybe mentioned Edwards 3 maybe 4 times. She even mentioned Kucinich more times than Edwards.

30. The good news is, he's forcing them to move his way.
If either of them gets elected, perhaps they'll have made some promises that they'll have to try and keep.

Not much in the way of good news, I know.

24. I'll fix that. I'm on hold to speak to her right now. Should I:
1) Just shout "HezZZzzz-bow-LahHHHhhhh!"
Or

2) Suggest that the problem with this country is that we need to have a federal no-fault divorce law.

17. The right wing is probably behind all of this
Much of it came from the Politico, a site that does dirty deeds for the vast right wing conspiracy. I'd love to see it all stop. The only people being helped are the GOP.

25. I've got her XM prograrm on "save" right now.
In about a half hour, I'll stop and listen. Thanks for the 'heads up'!
BTW: There are many ways of "saving", but this is the device I'm using: http://www.ccrane.com/radios/am-fm-radios/pogo-radio-yourway-lx/index.aspx

Thom Hartmann is the only other XM program that I save. One nice thing about that device is that I can set it for 1.5x speed. There's no "Donald Duck" effect, and it's still quite 'listenable'.

28. Thom Hartmann shed some light on the media circus today...
http://action.credomobile.com/sirota/2008/01/for_those_of_you_who_think_its.html#comments

For the Blowhards Who Insist It's a Two-Way Race...
For those of you who think the Democratic presidential nomination fight is just a two-way race between Obama and Clinton, check out this brand new poll from the Reno Gazette-Journal. Yup, that's right - it shows the Nevada caucus race a three-way, dead heat with John Edwards right in the mix.

Interestingly, this poll comes right on the heels of the Establishment viciously ratcheting up its angry attacks on the Edwards candidacy. Late last week, we saw a Reuters story headlined "Corporate Elite Fear Candidate Edwards" detailing how Wall Street moneymen and K Street lobbyists are frightened about Edwards populist, power-challenging message against greed and corruption. We also saw self-anointed Democratic "expert" Lawrence O'Donnell pen a fulminating screed demanding Edwards get out of the race - not surprising coming from a man who made his name running the U.S. Senate Finance Committee - long the most corrupt, lobbyist-ravaged panel in all of Washington (somehow, running the U.S. Congress's version of a pay-to-play casino now makes people credile "experts" in campaign strategy and political morality).

According to the nonpartisan Project for Excellence in Journalism, Edwards has long faced a media blackout - one that at least some honest media brokers like Keith Olbermann have noted. As I said a long time ago, that Edwards has even been able to compete in such a hostile environment is a testament to the power of his message.
<snip>

Lawrence O'Donnell is a real piece of work, isn't he? Geez...

32. Thanks for that 'heads up'!
I just removed that device from its cradle, and slipped it into my shirt-pocket. Very soon, I'll be listening to both Randi and Thom (at 1.5x speed).

I partially agree with others on this thread about Randi, but overall, she provides me with a lot of info and even some useful insight. But Thom??? PURE GOLD! And I'm constantly AMAZED at how he handles his occasional right-wing guests --- even those like David Horowitz! He creates a climate of mutual respect and civil discourse, that his guest is OBLIGED to emulate. We end up learning a bit more than we did at the start of the program. And the guest is (sincerely!) thanking Thom for allowing him to be on his program. THINK ON THAT!
