Only for Hillary???????
I apologize to all for not having enough time to research this myself - please bear with me. I read somewhere (i.e. rumor mill) that Bill Clinton stated that the first thing Hillary would do as president would be to send Bill Clinton and Bush Sr. around the world for "damage control".

I'm not sure Bill Clinton realized what he's suggesting. But if it's only what HILLARY Could do, does that mean that if anyone else is elected president, Clinton & Bush Sr. would take their marbles and go home????

We all know that a global good will tour will be needed to clean up after Dubya. Heck, I'm quite glad his Daddy knows it. But stating that only Hillary Clinton would be allowed to draw upon the time and commitment of two of OUR past presidents is very frightening. Almost bullying.

Any one else hear about this statement? Anyone else uncomfortable with it?

1. Yes, she said that

And Bush Sr said he wouldn't be part of anything like that. Another reason why HRC should not be president. She and Bill are too close to the Bush family. Poppy Bush even referred to Bill as being like another son to him. :puke:

Edit to add CNN link about this: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/12/18/bill-clinton-george-hw-bush-will-help-president-hillary/

6. Any one else hear about this statement?
Oh yeah, I heard this.

My thoughts are that Hillary is unsure how she would be perceived as President, not as much of a clean break from the past as some world leaders are hoping for, so she needs Bill (and maybe Bush sr., though I dont think he's in favor) to go around the world rebuilding our reputation in her place.

Obama believes he will be the clean break from our past administrations that the world wants, so he would be most comfortable rebuilding our reputation himself.
