ORLANDO, Fla. -- As Florida's primary approaches, there are already reported problems concerning ballots in Central Florida

Some 2,000 absentee ballots in Volusia County have been mailed with Barack Obama's first name misspelled.

On the ballot, the candidate's name is spelled B-A-R-A-K, Local 6 News reported Sunday.

7. i guess i didn't have one
i'm just posting a news article someone else wrote.

however, it's a little disconcerting given the Obama-Osama slips that have gone on in the past. plus any error, no matter how minor, kind of freaks me out when it has to do with ballots or the election process. some states, country have very anal rules regarding these types of things, so its possible Obama could lose those up to 2000 votes, assuming they all voted for him...

6. State versus county/city.
State-level folk moved up the election date.

Local BOEs do the ballots. State-level folk have very little to do with the actual ballot production or counting. They just issue general rules and collect the results, once certified by the local BOEs.
