Nora O'Donnell is wringing Rangel out, showing him to be "Stupid"
She's being quite aggressive with Rangel about his lies regarding Obama; that Obama never said Dr. King could have signed civil rights into law (which was STUPID to imply in the first place). Rangel then said he was responding to Obama's statement that he was baffled about Clinton's statement that it took LBJ to sign civil rights into law. Though, again, Rangel is lying. Instead, Obama said he was baffled that Clinton was claiming it was he who injected race into the limelight since his campaign hadn't commented on remarks which began with Clinton. She continued forcing Rangel into a corner about his statements and making him state he regrets them. I was impressed. Hopefully someone can reply with a clip when it becomes available.

17. Wow! I'm impressed..
There were vindictive jabs from charlie that were dripping with green venom. Wonder what made him say it if he's sorry now? Course hillary's echoers loved the no class.

18.  I'm just commenting on the tone of what I heard in that interview.
He sounded contrite and he said he wished he hadn't said some of the things he did. Did you hear the interview at all?

22. Not a clue, but that wouldn't have happened even last week, especially
from her. I'd like to think she saw the injustice of his remarks, but... NAH! She's doing someone's bidding?

33. Rangel has been one of my favorite Dem spokesman
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 07:56 PM by lyonn
Why he got too harsh with another Dem is beyond me. He usually saves those stingers for the repubs. Still, Norah got two Dems with one stone, Rangel and Hillary.

Edit spelling

3. I really like Nora. At first I thought she was just another pole dancer
but she can be really hard on politicians of either side. She knows her stuff and seems to be completely balanced in her approach to interviewing and reporting.

8. I think she's far from balanced, which is why I was shocked. She
does tend to heap scorn on and is condescending to Dems imo.

Of course, each side thinks the others distaste is insincere. :)

Overall, I like her, but she's often disappointing too, missing key opportunities like today to air constructive criticism.

25. Calling someone stupid was itself stupid
But I still like Rangel. It's campaign season and everyone is acting and overreacting. People are speaking out and saying stupid things in the process. To me it's better that they get exercised and let it all hang out rather than sit quietly and say nothing. It's because they care. Eventually things will settle down and everyone will start seeing and thinking straight again and allowing their heads to rule their tongues instead of their passions.

It appeared that someone had put him in his place. Good for Nora. (words I thought I'd never say... :scared:)

35. Rangel is just shilling for his fellow NY-er. No biggie.
Obama's supporters likewise speak on his behalf against Clinton occasionally.
