9. 'Blacks' is a description, like 'white'. 'Hispanic' and 'African Am' are cultural terms.
And there's no unity among blacks/African Americans on which is preferred.

I'm half Mexican, we say brown a lot as adjective. I don't think she said browns but brown people.
