Phony Las Vegas Review-Journal endorsement - not fooling locals

Jon Ralston, Las Vegas Sun

They could have been more patronizing. They could have been more disingenuous. They could have been more cynical (Just read the opening sentence.).

But I don’t see how.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s endorsement this morning of Barack Obama is an exemplar of intellectual bankruptcy, designed to be an attack on Hillary Clinton by using a phony embrace of Obama. It is likely to have the opposite effect because Democratic activists loathe the RJ — and they are who will be voting Saturday.

2. Such sour grapes over endorsements. Jesus.
You know, people and papers are going to endorse candidates you don't like. So what? Get over it.

If you were a local you would know better about the motives of the right-wing Las Vegas Review-Journal.

9. A Republican paper which Democrats don't like endorses Obama.
That would hardly make Democrats flock to Obama - so what do you think?

7. As a local Obama supporter, we know this is just the right wing R-J trying to fool outsiders.

I support Obama but the right wing Las Vegas Review-Journal's so-called "endorsement" is worthless.

8. Oh please!

I'm a Hillary supporter. If Fox News is singing her praises, I'm not thinking "oh gee, they must really like her". I'm thinking: they want her as a candidate because they think they can beat her. Same applies to Obama's republican endorsements. Your suspicion should go to them, not fellow democrats.
