to pull the wool over some people's eyes -- which served the interests of those with the $$$/power. They used his laziness/ignorance to their advantage and to the detriment of everyone else. He was an incompetent/easily corruptable disaster and helped pave the way for all of the crap that has followed and undermined the American Dream for the vast majority of her citizens.

4. I agree too
and I see how Obama meant it because with all we have coming down the pike with debt, climate change, etc we will need someone who can unite the country and get the people behind the things that will need to be done. Disclaimer, I have not picked a candidate yet. I wish I could take bits and pieces from all of them and make the perfect one but that ain't gonna happen.

5. He was the "hopeful" leader
of the backlash against the expansion of the social safety net and civil rights for women and minorities. He appealed to bigots in the Democratic party and they left the party and kept Reagan in office for eight destructive years.

6. He despicably took the credit for bringing down the Berlin Wall
when the fact is that it took 50 years of American Presidents keeping sanctions on Russia and telling them to take their damn missiles out of Cuba or else. Ray-Gun just had luck with the timing of history. Tell you what. I'll take credit for the Sun coming up in the morning. :dem:

8. The poor fool didn't know who he was for most of his second term ...
He regularly confused his acting roles with real life.
