A story: Once upon a time Barack Obama said something nice abour Reagan so this dude was like
"I'm not going to vote for Barack Obama". Then he heard that Hillary Clinton said something nice about Reagan so he was like "I'm not going to vote for Hillary Clinton" and then he heard that John Edwards said something nice about Reagan so he was like "I'm not gonna vote for John Edwards" and then the same thing with Kucinich so he went back to voting for Obama lol.

John Edwards:

For 50 years, presidents from Truman and Dwight Eisenhower to Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton built strong alliances and deepened the world's respect for us.

10. That's scary but did he do like Obama and compare himself to Reagan?
Didn't Obama (and Clinton) swoon over Reagan? I'm trying to understand exactly what happened... in 2008... with the comments lauding Reagan.

12. Well, I think I need to research this. I found Reagan to be an outright PIG....
.... so anyone that would love Reagan, where does that leave them?

15. Obama did not compare himself to Reagan either....
....Recognizing that a guy was influential and saying you'd also like the chance to be influential is not comparing yourself to someone.

16. Well, that's why I have to research it myself. Since I see Reagan as a total PIG....
... anyone that has given him a compliment seriously needs to be dismissed from my book as a viable candidate.

18. Damn!
And this was just a few months ago. Oh well, it is not a big deal because if he is confronted on it he will just apologize and all will be forgiven.

8. Obama is the only candidate to say favorable things about Reagan's POLICIES
From Obama's book:

Pages 156-157

"The conservative revolution Reagan helped usher in gained traction because Reagan's central insight--that the liberal welfare state had grown complacent and overly bureaucratic, with Democratic policy makers more obsessed with slicing the economic pie than with growing he pie--contained a good deal of truth."

He makes the argument the DLC made about the size, role of government. When people talk of expanding the pie rather than slicing it they are using smokescreens for talking about cutting back on social programs.
