New NV poll has Hillary up 9
ROMNEY, CLINTON LEAD IN R-J POLL
On Friday the Review-Journal will publish the results of our statewide pre-caucus presidential preference poll conducted Monday through Wednesday by Mason-Dixon Polling & research.

On the GOP side former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney leads his closest opponent by 15 points.

On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton outdistances Barack Obama by 9 points.

Hillary is obviously the front runner in NV. Obama can only hope it is close.

2. That's a subscribers' poll, I understand, of that newspaper
It's not of the general population. I don't know if it matters or not, but I read that today. I do think it will be close, though.

But I see it was in the comments section, not in the piece, so forget I said it.

3. Well, if SC goes to Obama, who cares?
They'll each have two state primaries under their belts, and we'll be no closer to a frontrunner than before.

18. Problem is with SC........

being heavily an expected black vote and he doesnt win in a massive landslide, its a big deal, if Hillary wins Nevada and comes close in SC, i think he's done.

Obama has no momentum from SC because he's expected to win that handily. The expectation has been put there.

4. I hope so!
I think she's brilliant. She was commanding and charismatic in the debate.

7. Charismatic?
I wouldn't go that far. I call it a draw. All three were fine.

9. Hillary is the favorite in NV, Reid's son has campaigned for her for a while and he has a great
network. There is little doubt she will win.

16. I just think it's too difficult to poll for these caucuses
They've never done it on this scale. There's no history to polling Nevada caucuses. They have no idea what the turnout will be like. Iowa with all of its past data collecting is unpredictable, so imagine Nevada.

17. Maybe I am kidding myself...
But.....

They are saying that you can't poll these caucuses accurately. They are a new format and they don't know who will show up for it.

Then the whole "culinary union endorsement" thing comes into play. The supreme court decided that the caucuses on the strip can be held (pissed Bill off real good). It may be hard to stand in the Clinton corner of a caucus when your union rep. is in the Obama corner waving you over.

I think the whole thing is up for grabs, but I could easily be wrong.

19. not america
Yes, I do think that the current system involving the culinary union is very unfair and something should be done to change it. It would have been better that the judge rule to require the emplyees get off long enough to caucus seperately away from their other employees and union bosses. I don't want anyone to not be allowed to vote, however i do not want anyone pressured or ordered to vote a certain way. that is NOT America.
