6. Me too.
I will come in handy next tax season when they tack it back on to the amount you owe. The last one wasn't a rebate, it was an advance on your refund. If you didn't get a refund, or the refund didn't equal or exceed the "rebate," you ended up paying it back.

18. ok but watch out for all the south american produce this time of year
it's almost as hard to find American food as it is American made goods of any other sort these days....

19. I keep trying to talk MG Jr. out of getting grapes
I try to buy only seasonal fruits and veggies, or American organically or hydroponically grown ones, but the kid begs for out-of-season stuff. Of course, the last batch of grapes tasted like styrofoam peanuts, so maybe he'll remember that next time.

10. The rebate checks will probably come directly from some bank in China. It's just a 'stall until
Bush gets out' tactic. All it will do is add more to the national debt, causing us to borrow more money, and the lower the USA's credit rating some more, causing more inflation and a further devaluation of the dollar.
