Man, it must be plush to be a member of the GLBT minority in America. Nothing better to do than beat dead horses.

Its like an escape from the real world, this accepting utopia.

1. My favorite?
Being told by a heterosexual that their gay friends don't agree with me --so I must not really be upset.

I love that one!

5. You mean GLBT people aren't a monolithic bloc
with the same opinions and viewpoints about everything.

I'm shocked, I tell you. SHOCKED. :wow:

8. It's sad that so-called progressives see an all-encompassing label instead of individuals.
Stereotypes are alive and well.

7. Sounds like a variation of "nobody I know likes your candidate".
With homophobic undertones, of course.

My personal experience is indicative of everyone else's! My opinions are facts!

2. Thanks for your post

I know there are lots of good people on DU, but they are being severely drowned out by the "get over it" chorus. It feels like a bunch of people on here are saying that GLBT folk should bow, avert their gaze and whisper, "my, these crumbs are so delicious. Thank you. It's more than I even deserve."
