Obama's HAS to win Nevada
Even with the culinary endorsement, the latest polls are not looking good with him trailing the Clintons. I'm afeard if he loses Nevada, its a sign of things to come in California which has similar demographics.

Methinks everything rests with tomorrow's outcome.

'Change' is one state away from being hammerfucked.

1. Calm down...he HAS to win South Carolina
a strong second in Nevada is nothing close to fatal.

I was going to respond, but now enough of the OP to decide it was a practice in futilty.

"Jokes" about rape are against DU rules.

3. I don't think Nevada in any way
correlates to how California will vote. But I agree with you, Nevada is a must win for Obama because Hillary could take the momentum from New Hampshire and Nevada and then win South Carolina. And Super Tuesday wouldn't look good for Obama if that was the case...

5. Maybe he should quit trying to be the second coming or Reagan
and he might stand a chance in the Democratic primaries.

9. I am not sure that losing in Nevada would be that bad, though winning is always better.
He would need to well in South Carolina, but he probably needs to do well there regardless of how he does in Nevada.

Even if he were to win both states, I think he will be a big underdog in California, but he might have a slim chance there and his overall prospects would still be quite good. If he doesn't win either, and Hillary wins big on February 5, then the handwriting may be on the wall and he may want to shift to Plan B (whatever that is).

If he loses SC, it would be problematic for him. NV, not so much.

17. My prediction is that Hillary will win NV
She has been polling strongly there for months and the DEM party is strongly behind her. I still think Obama is in the game and will go on and win SC. Here in CA, we are such a strange independent bunch of voters. If Obama does well on the ground he will be neck in neck with Hillary.

20. Even the pollsters don't believe the polls...
They freely admit that they don't have a handle on how to poll for this caucus. But they get paid for polls, so you've got to come out with something...

26. I don't think so
I understand what you're saying - that momentum will propel her towards super Tuesday - but I really feel this early on it's anybody's game and the "have to win" statements are premature.
