Bill Clinton: Unprecedented bad behavior for a former president!

This is quite frankly OUTRAGEOUS. Did George H.W. Bush get involved in the republican primary in 2000 or even Jeb Bush for that matter? NO. They may have done work behind the scenes but not in public. Same thing in 1980, did Richard Nixon endorse Ronald Reagan before the convention? In 1992, did Jimmy Carter work for a candidate's nomination for the dem convention?

NO! Former presidents do not so blatantly get down in the mud and hurl unfounded accusations against the opponents they dislike. They stay "above the fray" and act as elder statesmen. Growing up, I loved Bill Clinton and he's the reason I'll be a democrat for life but his behavior lately is just beyond outrageous.

He is so desperate to do an end run around the 22nd ammendment to get a third term that he'll do anything to win. Just like Mr. Rove. "Fairly tale", "give me a break", his comments about the union lawsuit, etc. He's forgotten his role.

What would happen if Obama or Edwards were to win the nomination. The GOP will hammer them with our own ex-president's comments!! Clinton won't be able to stump effectively for either of them now.

I am ashamed at this man's behavior. No former president in history from either party has ever acted in such a downright despicable way in his party's primaries.

Is George W. Bush shilling for his candidate in this year's primary? NO! He's saying "I'll support the nominee whoever it is."

Bill has forgotten his status as former president. He's just a old partisan hack now.

Flame away. I know that I have the truth on my side and history on my side as well of how former presients have acted.

It's a very unusual situation -- not only that she's a woman, which makes the "first gentleman" role new, but also that she's the spouse of a former president. It's all new.

how can you respect someone behaving as he is? Your point about bush pere and junior, is particularly spot on.

My problem is that it always seems to be about him. I remember his 2000 speech being criticized at the Democratic national convention in Los Angeles as it was all about him and not about supporting Gore. I watched his 2004 speech at the DNC for John Kerry and was blown away by how good it was and he stumped very effectively for Kerry in 2004. I thought "after this, how could anybody not vote for John after hearing Bill talk."

I hated how the media treated him after the pardons and his post-presidency reviews as well. For the longest time, I thought I hope HRC wins in 2008 to wipe the smirks off of the right-wing smear machine.

But things have changed a lot since 2001 and this Bill Clinton is disturbing. Desperation is eking through, he's losing his temper, and he's just not acting like a former president should at all.

Oh, and I didn't realize that people who didn't live in the U.S. presently aren't welcome here. I'll leave if you prefer.

yeah, his comments on the lawsuit were just inane, he completely made the "five times" figure up.

For those of you who haven't researched it, trust me he made it up, and then tried to present non-truths as fact. or don't trust me, research it yourself!

Very irresponsible behavior for a president, especially considering it's so easy for Anyone to research the facts these days.

So is his behavior more irresponsible or just stupid? I can't decide!

Frankly, if Hillary wins, I don't want Bill on the front line. He is fast becoming a detriment to HIllary's campaign.
