You're a good liberal when...
“You’re a good Liberal when the left says you’re on the right and the right says you’re on the left.” - Former Canadian P.M Jean Chretien

Methinks Hillary is a good liberal.

20. "Liberal" is a very overloaded term
As an ideology, it's got its roots in Europe where it was used to refer to what we'd call libertarianism--socially progressive, economically conservative. Throughout many parts of the world, the term "liberal" refers to being economically conservative (favoring free markets, little government economic intervention, low taxes, etc.), thus the WTO et al favoring the "liberalization" of markets in developing nations.

In the US, as an ideology, it's largely used to refer to either economic leftism, social progressivism, or a combination of both. The latter is usually how I use it in conversation, unless it's likely I'll be misunderstood.

Then of course you have how it's used by political parties. The Liberal party in Canada is much like the Democratic party here--it's more economically to the left and socially progressive than its main two-party counterpart the Conservative Party, but it's mostly centrist and milquetoast. The Liberal Democrats in the UK are also sort of left-libertarian, but neither of them are very forceful. On the complete other hand, the Liberal Party of Australia and the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan are equivalent to our country's Republican Party. That must be because they're on the right hand side of the world, while we're on the left hand side.

7. Only on some petty list. At least she doesn't want to be just like Reagan, like Obama does
I can't stand the way he kisses up to Reagan in his campaign speeches. Thank god Hillary would never lower herself to gushing over Reagan like Obama during her campaign.

21. Perverted? Really.
I had no idea you had the sensibilities of a young virgin girl. That is so inconsistent with your reason for despising Obama.

Huh.

12. Hillary is a liberal like David DuKKKe is a civil rights leader.
And BTW, the "Liberal" party in Canada is not the Left party anyway.

18. good one! here's some more
"I have always sought for the middle ground."
—James Madison

"Just as Lincoln got contradictory advice from the extremists of both sides . . . so now I have to guard myself against the extremists of both sides."
—Theodore Roosevelt

"Extreme opposites resemble the other. Each believes that we have only two choices: appeasement or war, suicide or surrender, humiliation or holocaust, to be either Red or dead."
—John F. Kennedy

"I'm too fiscally conservative for the Democrats and too socially liberal for the Republicans, like 75% of the American people."
—Governor Angus King

19. PS: This is referring to the Liberal Party
Not to liberal ideology.

If the left thinks you're right and the right thinks you're left, that makes you a centrist and/or a triangulator. Which is indeed what makes a good Liberal Party member, just like some people would have us believe it makes a good Democrat.

It does not make a good little-l liberal.
