Change - Agents of Change
I mentioned in an earlier thread in another forum that Adolph Hitler was a great agent for change in the 1930s, and that the reasons for his catching on in Germany at that time were much the same as many of the reason's for Ronald Reagan's rise to power here in the 80s.

Apparently I posted it in the wrong forum, so I will post this comparison between Hitler and Reagan herein GD-P.

I would appreciate your inciteful and considered comments.

5. I don't think there's any comparison. By reading, say, Toland's ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Toland_(author)">Adolf Hitler, or others as well, one is able to see the overview about how completely drained Germany was after failed policy, war, and military excursion. Reagan only had to contend with Jimmy Carter, and his corporate backers i.e. the keynote speaker at the opening of Disneyland...a piece of cake by comparison

6. Are you also saying that he came to power due to the ineptitude of the liberals
and their attempts to slice the pie rather than grow it? because in that case, you may get some arguments.

7. I would say that one comparison would be...
the way Hitler tapped into themes ingrained in much of the German culture, and used them for his own purposes; Reagan did much the same thing, exploiting cultural and patriotic themes to drive his message.
