Edwards has left the building
Edwards off to Oklahoma

It's not even caucus day in Nevada yet, but John Edwards has already skipped out on the Silver State. The former U.S. Senator headed to Oklahoma — a state that provided him with one of his strongest finishes in 2004, when he took second place there.

9. Exactly. Yesterday a.m. I received an e-mail from a friend that is a diehard Hillary Clinton fan...
... she was hysterical with fear. Said her boyfriend (who is a bigwhig in political circles) said that if Clinton gets the nomination, Huckabee will be our next president.

I swear to God I will leave this country if that happens.

... because Romney is a Mormon and that won't fly, and McCain is a sick old man.

What a shitty smear against the people of Oklahoma.

And you wrote that they are "more ignorant than I thought." How ignorant did you think Oklahomans were?

16. I may be wrong, but they have not spoken about how they're going to stop corporations from doing...
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 11:20 AM by Sarah Ibarruri
... further damage to the middle class and working poor. I may have missed it when they were talking about it. Did I?

Also, my sister lives in Oklahoma. Through no fault of their own, Oklahoma is FILLED with uneducated, poor people who have bad teeth, no jobs, are obese due to having no money to buy decent food, and are all-around victims of Oklahoma and the U.S.'s catering to corporations. I feel VERY SORRY for the middle class and poor there and everywhere else. And yes, I've been there. It's quite sad. Mega-zillionaires in one neighborhood, and in the other, some obese people (due to cheap, chemicalized foods),
no teeth, various illnesses and no jobs to be had.

27. So I didn't miss your smear of Oklahomans.
You really do have a low opinion of the electorate in Oklahoma. Generalizations about a whole state of 3.6 million people come easy only to someone who is not challenged to think before writing.

Are you a royalist? Would you like to take the vote away so that only their 'betters' can vote? You are a total asshole - excuse the expression: a dope - excuse the expression: a moron.

Edwards, Clinton both expected in St. Louis area Saturday
The Associated Press

ST. LOUIS --Two Democratic presidential candidates are scheduled to make visits to the St. Louis area on Saturday as they look to Super Tuesday, the Feb. 5 primary when voters in Missouri and 23 other states go to the polls.

Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, will host a town hall meeting at 8 p.m. at McCluer North High School in Florissant.

Former Sen. John Edwards will speak at 9:15 a.m. to members of the Carpenters Union. The speech is at the union hall on Hampton Avenue.

I'm grateful he's doing it. I hope he does it, state to state. It's vital and needed.

15. your hero worship is slight scary
When's the last time someone spoke truth Gee, let's see. Are we talking just presidential candidates? Howard Dean spoke truth while John was busy blasting Howard for being against the war. Dennis consistently speaks truth. I think Barack speaks a fair amount of it. Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, George McGovern.

Dems outside of a presidential race? Quite a few of them too, but you get the idea.

The statement that JE is the only one who's spoken "the truth" in 40 years, is just absurd.

21. bzzzt. I don't hero worship. I've written dozens and dozens of posts
criticizing Obama on everything from his appearing on the 700 Club to votes he's made in the Senate, to not rebuking his surrogates.

Care to try again?
