I don't have much use for poor losers.
If your candidate loses, be gracious enough to not throw a fit, at the very least. Better, offer congratulations to the supporters of the winning candidate.

But as for poor winners? There's a special circle in hell reserved for such contemptible people.

1. hay im not saying anything either way
but in a different perspectives its very hard for people to be supportive of a candidate when they feel the best hope for american just got shot down and "another" pawn was elected.

just saying sometimes sour grapes is more then sour grapes to people.

5. well, that's
true. But I really think that when people have so much invested, it's best for supporters of losing candidates to either say nothing or congratulate those who support the winning candidate and for supporters of winning candidates not to post threads bashing the losing candidates.

11. At some point,
the supporters of two of the top three candidates are going to have to accept that only one of them is going to head the ticket. The democratic party will depend upon people being able to make that transition. Hence, I agree with your OP.

4. FWIW
I don't consider Obama a loser here. He pulled out a fine campaign in NV and his camp did a marvelous job of getting out his vote for the caucus.

6. I'd offer my congratulations if I thought that Hillary...
had any chance of winning the general election. But, as she does not, it seems that congratulating her is the same as congratulating the GOP and I can't do that. I'm sorry, but I can't.

So I'll just try and keep my mouth shut.

Sorry, if I let you down. But this isn't a sports contest, this is the future of our country. And, IMO, it just became a little more uncertain today. It's not something to celebrate.

13. So you've got a crystal ball saying HRC isn't 'electable' in the GE?
I gotta have that crystal ball.

14. Thanks Cali, it may not be heeded, but you put up the right message...
so far we have had the 'openers.' In show business, openers warm people up for the main attraction--in this case, the General Election.

Think about the indicators: one midwest state, one great lakes state, one northeastern state, and now a state which is a really strange one. Nevada is the most different kind of place one can find in the nation. Very few urban centers, lots of very small towns, and if you cover enough of the place, you find people living all by themselves in places where people cannot live--the desert rats of the wild west.

Edwards took a few chops, but his time should be coming when we hit the south, maybe not the deep south, but the border states. Clinton is still probably the strongest runner but Obama has certainly proved his viability.

A shame that Biden, Dodd, and Richardson did not survive this far.

As badly flawed as our system can be, this is still Democracy at work. Some of us are now suffering 'buyers remorse.' Wishing that this candidate or that one would have chosen to run. These candidates we are observing now are those who chose to jump in the meatgrinder of a national election. How they handle themselves in both victory and defeat shows exactly who and what they are. This also applies to activists in favor of one candidate or another. These results, early as they are, show what we are.

I can't help but think of Balaclava at a time like this...Into the valley of death rode the THREE. On to the next battle.
