Sore losers
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 10:27 PM by Onlooker
A lot of the Obama supporters are taking this too seriously. It's too bad he lost, but he will win in SC, and there's plenty of life left to the race. Those who are blaming the losses on fraud or, worse yet, claiming the delegate count is more important than the vote, sound like idiots. Obama and Clinton have very similar views so are in effect dividing similar voters (though of different generations and races, apparently). The fact is, we need a Democrat in the White House, and if the Obama people continue to act like this, should he manage to win the nomination, he may turn a lot of Clinton supporters off, and the opposite is true as well. To beat the Republicans, the nominee will need a united party, so let's keep our composure and get some perspective, please. So far, Obama has done far better than anyone expected, and there's no reason to believe he's any less in this race than is Clinton. It's a tie game, really, between two very capable campaign organizations and two very capable political leaders. While I hope Obama wins, I know that the worst that will happen is we'll end up with someone who shares his views (Clinton) or someone who is clearly more liberal (Edwards). This should be a win-win situation for the voters if we keep our emotions in check.

2. The delegate perspective
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 10:25 PM by theredpen
Obama won with one more delegate. He leads in pledged delegates. In reality, Clinton and Obama are too close to call. These are small states.

4. We still don't know the popular vote.
Hillary won the precinct delegates, Obama won the probable national delegates ex superdelegates who can vote whatever they want.

6. I think
I think the perspective out there will be that Obama is a sore loser so I think he should just admit defeat graciously among the popular vote in NV but also make people aware that they are pretty much even with delegates so the race is not over.

8. No popular vote announced.
Everything we have seen are delegate numbers, whether precinct delegates or pledged delegates.

14. The Clintons are proven cheats and liars
This line that we should just pretend all our candidates are even choices is just beyond comprehension. They slandered their way into the NV win, and now that it's proven they couldn't win in the rest of the state, they want to pretend the delegate vote doesn't matter. Well too bad, and nobody needs to unite around their garbage yet.

And no, Edwards does not have a more liberal record than Obama. That is completely manufactured by both the Clinton and Edwards camps.

16. And that is the point none want to face.
But face it we will, barring a 1993 Buffalo Bills like comeback from John Edwards.

In November, it appears that we may indeed shuffle off to our electronic Voting Assistance Systems to be presented with a choice.....Choice. (HA!)

Eat Cake (Hillary)

or

Eat Shit (McCain or Romulan)
