Some questions for the candidates:

1. What is the ultimate nature of matter, energy, space, and time?

2. What is causality?

3. Would you say that 721/228 is a good estimate for the square root of ten? Explain why you think that it is or isn't a good estimate. Are estimates in the form of decimal expansions -- the kind given by ordinary calculators -- better or worse than fractions? Are fractions a topic that should be delayed until college or do you think that they should continue to be taught in K to 12?
