Most Democrats in Congress Voted Against The War

Why should we elevate the ones who voted for it? It's absurd. They blew the single most important decision in decades.

As Will Rogers said, "the American People get just the president they deserve - good and hard".

Both houses together.

Many or most of the "Democrats" in the Senate who voted for it have tried to run for president, so it looks like they voted based on perception of political winds rather than what's good for the US. These people should be removed from office, not elevated.

The directionless Iraq War has killed over 3,800 US soldiers as of October 2007 and seriously wounded and maimed 84,000 more, and has delivered a devastating blow to our country's reputation and moral authority.

It's time we honor the members of Congress who voted in 2002 to prevent the Bush administration's hasty rush into an unprovoked attack and occupation of Iraq.

The dramatic, much-debated vote on Joint Resolution 114 was taken on October 11, 2002. It passed the Senate by a vote of 77 to 23, and the House of Representatives by a vote of 296 to 133.

In the end, 156 members of Congress from 36 states had enough information and personal insight and wisdom to make the correct decision for our national and the world community.
