Objectively speaking, who won the debates?
I missed the deabtes and the threads, so I can't tell who "won". What are your opinions of the outcome? How did Kerry and Edwards fare? Were DK and Sharpton on fire tonight?

1. They all won as a group
I think one reason that both Kerry and Edwards are beating Bush in the polls is that all the candidates go after Bush

Kerry was hesitant when asked if God was on America's side

Edward said that during the Civil War Abraham Lincoln was asked to pray that God was on our side. Lincoln said he could not pray that, but that he could pray that we were on God's side

Sharpton said that Bush thinks that he and America are one and the same, and that this is not true

In other words, we had two quick minds backing up Kerry, so the Dems as a whole came out looking good

2. Kerry won it.
I think I officially became a Kerry supporter today because of his answers - clear but nuanced - and his presence - very Presidential. Kerry did a good (but not outstanding) job but I also think Edwards hurt himself by appearing somewhat political. And I got quite annoyed at Kucinich who kept jumping in and trying to say, "Hey, I'm liberal." It was almost as if he was changing the subject.

4. I agree
Kerry had many great moments, IMO, in which he was able to get his point across and/or bring the conversation back to where he wanted it to be.

Overall, the whole thing was kind of unstructured and people kept trying to butt in. I thought Kerry did a good job of helping bring things back under control several times. Maybe that's what made him seem presidential.

3. I don't think anyone did
The format made it pretty much a waste of an hour.
