1. Don't compare George "Katrina" Bush with Bill Clinton
I know that's the intent.

7. The comparison is valid.
Had Obama fell asleep in the middle of the ceremony, Clinton supporters would be all over him.

I thought bill was hilarious, but I also thought he lacked all kinds of respect if he can't even keep awake. I mean for god's sake put your hand down if your tired.

9. True but absolutely no consequences
Look what he did in New Orleans after Katrina - and no consequences.

5. Joke about it, and say he's being disrespectful.
Which is exactly what I'm doing in Bill Clinton's case.

6. Laughter; Of course, W goes to bed at 9pm everynight
and is on vacation a 3rd of the time so he wouldn't have being tired as an excuse.

10. A Sigh of Relief: He Doesn't Talk in His Sleep, Does He?
Every time George opens his mouth, the economy takes another dive.

12. Some of us know which side we're on.
Mocking Bill Clinton and mocking Bush aren't even remotely the same thing.

13. "America's first black president" can be cut a little more slack than Bush
I don't think Clinton can be accused of racism or a lack of respect for Dr. King.

However, it's still pretty darned rude.

So while the answer to your question (i.e., if it had been Bush) is "with unmitigated horror and loathing," the way I feel about it is mixed. He didn't mean to do this, I'm sure he's absolutely mortified (as he should be), and maybe this will convince the campaign to make him go away for a rest. He hasn't been helping Hillary lately and maybe her campaign will be glad to have an excuse to get him away from the cameras for a while.

14. Context matters
We know Bush is a dope and doesn't give a sh__ about MLK---that's the difference.
