35. "I vote Yes people might be mad at me, if I vote No people might be mad at me! ... Present!
Somebody should tell him there's no "Present" vote as President on tough issues.

11. yes
he allowed people to freeze in the buildings of his buddy -- and main financial contributor -- in his District and did nothing to correct it.

Link:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/353829,CST-NWS-rez23.article

from the article:

For more than five weeks during the brutal winter of 1997, tenants shivered without heat in a government-subsidized apartment building on Chicago's South Side.

It was just four years after the landlords -- Antoin "Tony'' Rezko and his partner Daniel Mahru -- had rehabbed the 31-unit building in Englewood with a loan from Chicago taxpayers.

It was just four years after the landlords -- Antoin "Tony'' Rezko and his partner Daniel Mahru -- had rehabbed the 31-unit building in Englewood with a loan from Chicago taxpayers.

Rezko and Mahru couldn't find money to get the heat back on. But their company, Rezmar Corp., did come up with $1,000 to give to the political campaign fund of Barack Obama, the newly elected state senator whose district included the unheated building.

23. he needed to fundraise way more than Hillary
did, because she already had a huge war chest. It's a fair criticism, but this is one of the potential reasons why.

The overwhelming bulk of his missed votes were in 2007, as were Hillary's.

38. 4000 dead American soldiers and a million dead Iraqis. Didn't miss THAT one did she?
I'd sooner vote for the candidate who missed every frigging vote over the one with the excellent attendance record who made the monumentally tragic and stupid mistake that one time when it really mattered. She could have done the right thing but she was more concerned about her political hide. At least John Edwards is big enough to admit he made a mistake, when is she going to?

24. It's getting too soft now, but the first part of the debate ROCKED
If they don't replay it so I can record it, I'm definitely going to download it. What a hoot! Like when Hillary gave that exasperated look at Edwards, when they were talking about how Barack won't accept responsibility for his votes, priceless! And I missed the first 25 minutes of it, wonder what I missed.

Hillary is right. Obama never takes responsibility for his voting record. He, like Bush, also has the trait of not being able to admit a mistake.
