2. Yeah, the talk for the next few days will be...
"A white person could not have said that, he's taking advantage of his race for political points".

3. Sad but true...it will be pointed out.
It was an easy laugh from the audience and he couldn't resist it.

4. Wonder if Obama (or Clinton) can "shag"? Everyone in SC can
For those of you outside the region, the shag is a local dance done to "beach music" that is a similar to R&B, Blues, some Motown. Myrtle Beach, the site of the debate, is roughly the center of the region.

BTW "shag" is a four-letter-word in many English-speaking areas.

14. They did a good job of capturing that time and place
I grew up up the coast from MB in NC. Friends taught the leading players how to shag and are themselves in the movie.

From IMDB, it appears to have fans in the UK. That reminds me a really funny scene where Andie McDowell teaching Graham Norton to shag.

8. It is at least as presidential as a late night sax solo!
I thought the comment was funny and my guess is so will most Americans.

7. OMG Can't you take a fuckin JOKE?
EVERYONE LAUGHED when he said that, it was a humourous light hearted response and you're going to turn it into another race issue. Pathetic and obviously you don't have a sense of humor.

10. I actually thought that was Obama's best moment tonight
IT was funny and, let's face it: the contention that BC was the first black president is a little weird.

9. You have to admit Obama was doing a lot of tap dancing tonight
Not good tap dancing; just a lot of it.

11. jesus
this partisan political prism people on here seem to be looking through to even bring something like this up is flabbergasting. "Dancing abilities" - not one person in this country, including you water, is going to base any portion of their vote on that quip. Anyone who bellyaches about it has frankly already made their mind up strongly against him and nothing he said will change their view about him.
