What is important in a candidate today? Ten Important issues.
What is important in a candidate today?

1. A candidate that performs well in debates.
2. A candidate that has an energy plan that does not include nuclear plants/waste.
3. A candidate that has never taken corporate monies.
4. A candidate that wants to provide for the middle class and the poor.
5. A candidate that wants to raise teachers salaries.
6. A candidate that wants a national healthcare plan to cover all Americans.
7. A candidate that wants civil unions legalized.
8. A candidate that will investigate and act on illegal no-bid contracts.
9. A candidate that will end the war in Iraq in one year.
10. A candidate that is real, humble, admits his mistakes. Opposite of Bush.

It is time for the for the nation to get to know John R. Edwards.

3. I was proud to support John Edwards tonight.
He is the best candidate.

And for those foolish enough to let the media and its money influence their vote, they deserve what they get. But the rest of us who know better do not.

7. get this Rocky...
I watched it with a group of non-political people who aren't aware of the debates we read here every day.

Here are the most frequent comments I heard afterward -

- The other two candidates seemed angry, and were saying what people wanted to hear

- Edwards was the most sincere in what he was saying, and the most comfortable with himself and spontaneous

I broke out laughing because it was exactly the opposite of what the anti-Edwards people post here every day...every hour... maybe every minute?

10. I hear ya-
I wonder how many people saw the debate, because if you watch the wrap up on CNN, it's all the same old Hillary & Obama bandwagon.

I don't think it should be easy, I mean, I expect it to be hard. But does it have to be this hard?

9. Why do so many americans refuse to see John Edwards???
He is everything we need in a President, and more. Are people so addicted to "drama" that all they can tune into is the Hillary/Obama bickering? Do they think they are watching an episode of Dynasty?

He's right there, people!!! He's real! He's our JFK! How can we make this happen???????

ps, it feels good to be in here :)
