Obama and Edwards cleaned up tonight. It become clear that Hillary is not interested in competing in SC. Her bizarre Rezko gaffe backfired and Obama clearly and potently refuted all of the lies thrown at him.

18. She Came Off As An Angry Prevaricator
She did much to increase the Clinton's reputations as thugs with a truth problem.

Obama stayed on an even keel and did an excellent job of talking down her garbage.

Trying to paint Obama as a friend of sexual abusers - that was really, really awful for her to do, and the viewers know it.

She degrades the debate and herself, too.

ETA: Norman Hsu is the Clinton contributor who skipped on grand theft charges. Obama could have answered in kind but he's too smart to get into the gutter with her.

42. Earlier today, Obama vowed that he was going to take the
fight back to the Clintons. He got his ass handed to him. Obama even looked fazed for most of the remaining debate. His answers were slow and choppy and he stuttered. The audience meter showed Obama with the lowest scores.

Of course, few watch debates or follow the details. What matters is tomorrow's headlines. They will be "Obama defended slumlord." He can't blame Hillary for bringing it up either because she was just responding to Obama's Walmart swipe. It was dumb of Obama to make this a street fight.

Leading Clinton Donor
Stays Below the Radar
By IANTHE JEANNE DUGAN and BRODY MULLINS
August 29, 2007

Norman Hsu is one of the leading political fund-raisers in the country this year. In fact, many fund-raisers say he is one of a small handful of people capable of raising more than $1 million -- a major feat considering the maximum donation allowed by an individual for 2008 races is $4,600 per candidate.

But longtime political donors are curious: "Who is Norman Hsu?" asks Robin Chandler Duke, a former ambassador and longtime supporter of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Until three years ago, Mr. Hsu never made a campaign contribution to a presidential candidate, according to federal election records. Now, though, several people involved in raising money for White House candidates say Mr. Hsu is a major player.

Many "HillRaisers" -- people who rustle up at least $100,000 for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign -- are dwarfed beside Mr. Hsu (pronounced "Shu"). Several people involved in Democratic presidential fund-raising say Mr. Hsu, an apparel executive, has raised well over $1 million for the New York senator's presidential campaign, making him one of the top 20 Democratic fund-raisers in the country. The Clinton campaign doesn't disclose such details and declined to comment for this story.

The guy since skipped on grand theft charges. He may now be in custody.

This SLUM Lord Hillary??Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Syrian-born property developer in Chicago
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 11:35 PM by indimuse
Wright (((Obama's Reverend))) travelled to meet Muammar Gadaffi, the Libyan leader, in the 1980s with Louis Farrakhan, the black supremacist leader of the Nation of Islam, and subscribes to the “Black Values System”, which preaches self-reliance but claims “middle-classness” is ensnaring blacks.
“When enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Colonel Gadaffi with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell,” Wright once said.

The other potential threat to Obama comes from the indictment of one of his leading donors, (((AND Real Estate Business Buds..look it up!!)))Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Syrian-born property developer in Chicago, who is accused of extortion.

Rezko has been indicted by Patrick Fitzgerald - the prosecutor who brought down the White House official Lewis “Scooter” Libby and the press magnate Conrad Black - for seeking millions of dollars in kickbacks from companies bidding for state business in Illinois. He is due to appear in court on February 24.

On the day the Obamas bought a new home in Chicago for $1.6m in 2005, Rezko’s wife purchased an adjoining piece of land, giving the senator’s family more privacy and a larger expanse of green than they had paid for. Obama later paid $104,000 for a strip of the land, even though it was known that Rezko was under investigation
