The Democrats are behaving pathetically. It's so frustrating.
Of the 3 viable candidates left, Edwards is the Democrats' best chance, which means there's not much hope for him. It's too bad he's not black, female, or gay, or a black lesbian. Then the media would have him...er, I mean, her, leading the race, whooping and hollering all the way, cranking out their profit-generating news stories about another change candidate. They use the word change like Bush uses the word freedom. Not much change there.

There is so little that is positive happening in this country anymore. These candidates aren't going to bring about chance. They're too damn immature, self-centered, and egocentrically ambitious. These two affront runners carry the word pander to historic new levels. The Democrats deserve eight more years of a Republican president, and will probably get what they deserve.

4. I've put a lot of time, money, and energy into the Democratic Party.
But they seem so intent on losing this election, as they did the 2004 election, that I don't consider myself a Party member anymore. You've saddled us with a guy with very little experience and no foreign policy experience at a time when we are at war, and a woman whose main claim to fame is being married to an ex-president and whose disapproval ratings are higher than any nominee going into a general election in 50 years. It's simply counter-intuitive, unless you want to lose or, at best, feel it's more important to make a statement than to win.

7. THe Usual
Democrats pick the wrong candidate at least half the time. Maybe more than half. When they foolishly pick Hillary Clinton, and she goes down to defeat, it will only be what has happened on previous multiple occasions. Democrats are stupid. Sigh...

6. Only if you're a Democrat. The Republicans have the opposite problem.
Only it's not a bad problem right now because of the white majority. Democrats seem to be putting a tacit moratorium on white male presidential candidates, even if they're the most qualified and most likely to win. It's wrong on many levels.

8. Edwards is the best candidate, and I hope he wins, however, what has that to do with the color or...
... gender of other candidates?

My donations have gone only to Edwards, because I think he's the best suited for REVERSING the serious damage that Repukes have done to this country and its people. HOWEVER...

Why is it wrong for the Dem Party to run candidates who are not white males? Plenty of times I've warned Democrats that we shouldn't run female or black candidates for that reason, because this is still a country where white males are expected to be taking the top spots in everything, and if (or when) it doesn't happen there will be hell to pay about how "equality" has gone too far. The first time that a black and a female have a chance to win the presidency, there's bitching, moaning and whining about how white males are shut out.

Yes, I wish Edwards would win, but I do not fail to look upon the running of a female and a black candidate for president, as great things. Unfortuantely, until this country ceases being the racist, sexist country it is, and it looks upon women and blacks the same exact way, and as needing the same exact chances as white males, and not as an opportunity that is being taken away from white males, this will be a racist, sexist country and we will not be able to run black or females for president and expect them to have a fair chance.

I'm for Edwards to the end, but I have to admit that it's incredibly pathetic that the first time a black candidate and a female candidate seriously have a chance at being president, there's whining that it's not a white man. I'm sure Edwards would agree with me that there's nothing wrong at all to run black and female candidates for president.

That said, I hope Edwards wins. And if not wins, at least gets the VP position. Also, it's the media that has shut Edwards out. The corporate media. It's the media we have to fight, along with the Repukes, not women and blacks. Women and blacks are victims of the media and the Repukes. Let's move on ahead with our head clear and not filled with silly ideas that the discriminated are the enemy.
