The Debate in a Nutshell: Hillary was booed. Loudly. By many in the audience.
This was 10x worse than her performance in the Philadelphia Debate.

She appeared angry and frustrated.
She didn't like Obama bringing up Wal-Mart one bit, so she lashed out violently.
The audience didn't care for this at all.

She refused to answer Edwards direct question about Lobbyists... literally refused to give a straight answer.
Just like with the Illegal Immigrant Licenses.

When she is angry her sensitive sotto voce falls away. Her facade of an empathic woman cracks.

We see her for what she is inside, and it is not a pretty picture.

Obama LOST in living rooms across the nation.

The "people meter" TROUNCED him.

Final: Edwards, winner; Clinton; strong second; Obama; third.

Those undecided people said Edwards did the best in the debate, but the majority were going to vote for Obama because he was electable.

So your ratings are inaccurate. But I know you know that.

59. I watched the RAW data the whole night.
The raw data doesn't match the commentary. AT ALL.

They aren't "my ratings." They're the ratings of the people who had the meters in their little hands.

and keeping track of all the data from the line on the screen?
I find that very hard to believe.

The majority of those same people had decided to vote for Obama when they were questioned post-Debate.
They had been undecided before the debate.

82. Did I say that? Why no, I did not.
The three feeds were as follows:

The debate.

The debate with a PEOPLE METER overlay.

A Bill Clinton rally in TN.

I watched the second feed--the debate with the metered overlay.

Obama did the WORST with the raw data. Except for the times he made a joke, he couldn't move the line much off fifty (neutral) and he managed to make it dip BELOW a few times. He didn't do well. You can argue with me all you want, but I watched that red line through the whole debate. Edwards had the highest numbers, Clinton was under him but way above Obama.

87. how can you say you have the raw data, when all you saw was on your screen.
You don't know the actual numbers going into any of that.
Your perception of what happened is in no way the actual data.

Once again, how do you explain that the majority of the people using those meters chose to vote for Obama in the end?

92. I "watched" the raw data. CAREFULLY.
I told you how it played out on the screen. If you don't like what I've told you, too bad. I'm not going to angst over it, or waste my time dealing with your usual noodgy carping. It gets old, quick.

Once again, since YOU don't get it, I have no intention of "explaining" anything. For all I know they were bribed or hit on the head. Or maybe they're terminally stupid. All I know is that Obama did not resonate, and Edwards hit it out of the park.

If you don't "like" that, disregard it.

103. I saw the same thing
Although I didn't find the meter until after the first break. Obama got consistently low scores. It was like some of the audience turned against him over something he said. Obama averaged about a 52. They sure didn't turn on Hillary. She averaged about 60. I'd say Edwards averaged about 64.

That's what I'm 'reporting on' here. Edwards was up around seventy every time he opened his mouth. Obama couldn't move that thing unless he was making a joke. It was as if they fell asleep and didn't move their little knobs...

She and her husband are a ball-and-chain on the Democratic Party.

She proved that she was willing to be the older version of the Goldwater Girl.

She's angry, she's shrill, she plays dirty and she's vindictive. It's no wonder Bill's eyes wander. I feel sorry for him in a way.

Hillary:
  • Is angry
  • Sounds shrill
  • Is vindictive
  • Lies about Obama's record
  • Votes for war
  • Inflates her experience by stealing her husband's resume
  • Was cheated on by her husband

All of it is true. You simply just can't handle the truth.

62. Personally, I thought she did damn well and had obama on
his heels a few times. She was cool and collected and she never lost her cool as you say she did. The booing was expected from the crowd but that did not unravel her, she gave more then she got....

I personally think bill clinton has got inside the mind of obama and at times he looked tonight as though he did not know whether to stratch his watch or wind his ass.....

Remember, in politics its the next audiencec you are playing too as well as the current and hrc played strong to the national audience and those states on 2/5....where obama will meet his waterloo and maybe will last until the middle of march and then bye bye bho......

63. Oh boy! You are so right about Bill Clinton getting inside the mind of Obama.
Obama is frightened of The Big Dog and it clearly shows.

66. She shot back with his defending his slumlord friend Rezko. I saw a lot of people applauding then.
(Why bring up Wal Mart - don't a lot of people shop at Wal Mart?)

Wal Mart shoppers.

78. I dont want to vote for Hillary BUT she defended and attacked beautifully which
is difficult for a woman to do with a man. I thought she did very well, and I didnt think Obama's starting that whole thing was really appreciated.

Didn't look too good on his part. Most of the time he looked arrogant, snotty,
his snide comments were not appreciated by the audience...if he wasn't outright booed there were murmurs of disapproval

and calculated it was worth the hit to have people tomorrow asking, "What's Rezko?"

She knew exactly what she was doing, like it or not.

72. She was booed by a mostly black audience in SC, who cares?
She already knows that she has no chance of winning in SC and went for broke. I don't know why some of you keep attacking Clinton as if Obama was a choir boy. Please...........

Unfortunately, this is turning into a black-white race. More's the pity!!

86. Obama has specifically tried to avoid bringing race into this
and it was working, too
that is until he won in Iowa

Then the Clintons decided to run a scorched earth policy
sacrificing the Black vote in order to marginalize Obama as the Black candidate.

Face it. If Obama had wanted to make this about race, he could have long ago. But he didn't because he wanted to debate the issues.

It is the Clintons who have attempted to divide this Party along racial lines.

76. I didn't think she appeared particularly angry
I thought she interrupted a lot tonight, but I didn't think she came off as overly angry. But, then again, I think her "anger" is often overstated.

81. She was excellent in a hostile envirnoment
this was clearly Obama crowd, before the first word was uttered so of course she was booed.

She was not angry, but insistence but, as usual, a woman's voice is more grating than a man's.

Obama lost many by his injecting of religion.

95. his base is the Democratic Party,
It is only Hillarites who are trying to marginalize him as the 'Black Candidate'.

He actually has supporters of all races, genders, and creeds.

He is not a partisan hack like Hillary.
He has a much more Universal appeal.
