I don't feel the debate ratcheted up the tension
For reasons I couldn't hope to explain, it feels to me like a dissipation of tension.

I was freaked out for the first few minutes, but then felt like it was healthier than some other debates. With the constant media buzz of race and sex, there was all this tension about whether anyone could say anything without the world blowing up.

But then they were just some politicians having a usual acrimonious debate... like the horrible race/gender spell was broken and they were just three people who can fight sometimes like people do.

It was a wild change of pace from the tea parties we've seen so far, but it wasn't anything shocking by historical Dem primary debate standards, and arguably less nasty than any of the Republican debates this year.

1. I think it was a healthy release of tension...
and, personally, I prefer reality and substance to "make nice" smiley disingenuousness..

Your mileage may vary..

2. Wish I'd been able to see it and not have to sort through the
"your guy sucks" posting to get a real sense of it. :(
