Even though I live on Social Security and it close to the end of the month I plan on donating $25.00 to DU on Thursday!

DU is a great place I love being here and I will show my support where it counts. I hope the rest of my fellow Hillary supporters will join in and show DU just how much we love you.

I'm obviously not a huge fan of Hillary but you guys have as much right to be here vocalizing your enthusiastic support for her as anyone else.

for one or two staff members if they need it. My state is one of the last ones to vote in the primary and they don't have an operation here yet.

Anyway, the guy on the phone seemed surprised at my unusual offer - then I told him I had been providing housing for senate and presidential campaign staff members during the general since Bill's first run. I then said that gender did not matter, age did not matter, race did not matter, and my first preference would be someone from the GLBT community but that was not a requirement.

Note: The reason I added the "non-qualifiers" was that the last staff member that was sent to me was a young AA female. She arrived at the house and came to the door without any luggage while her friend waited in the car. I opened the door and welcomed her in but she was timid and then asked "Is it okay?" Took me a few seconds to figure out what she was referring to and it just broke my heart. Turned out she was from Michigan and this was her first venture down south and she was afraid I would not want her to stay.

Anyway, usually they are not here very long (just a few weeks) but I indicated that I could provide whatever for as long as they needed it. He took my number - I hope they take me up on my offer. It is always a pleasure to have enthusiastic young Dems around.

Wish I could give some money, but, alas, that is impossible at the moment.

However, I remain a proud Hillary supporter and will continue to show my support here are DU!

and, so far, Hillary hasn't complained about the amounts!

Like others, I support DU because, despite some of the craziness, this is still the place I come to for reasonable discussion with true Democrats.

Maybe Skinners banner at the Inaugaration this time will read.
