1. I'd hate to be a Republican today
or any day, for that matter.

5. He was the mainstream Southern Protestant...compared to the rest
Surprised more of them don't like Huckabee...but I'm sure they have their reasons...twisted sick reasons but reasons none-the-less.

The biggiest idiot of a FReepwad who used to work at my workplace was big on him...Gawd know why...

Funny how six months ago he was the savior of the party and John McCain was all washed up.

9. The gop is dead. They had their hopes in a dead man.
It just shows who they are. They are defaulting to mittens, because he is the closest they have to pukism: He is friend to big business, and slimy enough to say and do anything to win.

But, he doesn't fool to religious-wacko right. Just yell mitt-abortion-gay-massachusetts! and they run screaming.

10. Thats because St Jim of Robinson endorsed Sir Phred out of the gate and
like loyal lemmings, they all started goosestepping in line behind him.

They didn't keep their, you know, "options" open.

12. The Republicans can not control their base any more.
They count on the "Religious Right" to bring them over the top. The nut jobs with bibles are really confused this year. They have a Mormon, which Evangelicals will NEVER vote for. They have Huckleberry, who makes a good preacher but not a good president. McCain, who will not get rid of those darn Mexicans. They were counting on good ol' Fred. He is a "real" Christian. He hates the Mexicans. They just can not understand why he did not do better. Their votes are split between the candidates and they don't know what to do about it. Sucks to be them. Ha. Ha.

15. More than that, the "Draft Fred" actually BEGAN on Free Republic
I monitor Free Republic every day and have for years and years. I saw the grousing begin there when they saw their choices were going to be a liberal cultist, an unknown hillbilly, a divorced, gay-loving, corrupt politician, an outlier so kooky, he is the most rational GOP candidate in years, and two lightweights, Tancredo and Hunter, whom they knew would go nowhere. Oh, and McCain, of course, but Freepers have hated McCain ever since he ran against Bush.

So they looked around for a dynamic, intelligent, visceral, heartwarming American conservative like Raygun to run. But they couldn't find the real thing -- just someone who played Raygun on TV.

was ever into this race. I feel he was pushed. The Republican s;ate is the sorriest I have ever seen.

16. The best part? Freepers now understand how utterly insignifigant they really are.
All of their FReepin' for Fred didn't amount to shit in the end.

Myth "Flip-flopper" Romney? He's going to get creamed by McCain before it's over. He's just too weak and slippery.

It's just so much fun to see them all in disarray, gnashing their teeth and rending their garments.
